The majority of the seven billion global population claim to believe in God as the Creator and Provider. But their minds are like chests without locks, filled with apprehensions and doubts. They are unable to sort matters of trivial nature, let alone those that are of grave importance, and are often seen receding to states of hopelessness and despair, which ends up widening differences between each other.
Mankind assumes that they are spending life in fractions of time. They have termed these fractions as seconds, minutes, hours, days and nights. However, they remain unaware of where these fractions of time appear from and where they go. It is imperative for them to know that this process of appearance and disappearance is not restricted to just the seconds and minutes, rather, everything follows the same course. When one does not pay attention to the mechanism of appearance and disappearance, they consider this transitory world as everything, and begin to accumulate possessions to secure their future. How can anything be secured and everlasting in this transitory world?
Mankind is neither free from desire nor can they live without having to abandon things. However, whether one should give up something or embrace it is decided under the impression of an illusion. There are innumerable worlds in the universe where the speed of senses is far greater than it is in this transitory world. Since one’s decisions are based on illusions, they give up on those worlds and run after this transitory world where the speed of senses is the lowest of them all. When the speed is low, things appear to them as static.
It is assumed that this world is in a solid state and that we live in it. However, contrary to this, our inner eye sees that neither is this world in a solid state, and nor do we live in it. Like us, this world is also an image that is being reflected from somewhere else. In this case, what is the reality of this world?
God has created resources and provisions for us before our birth. When one uses these resources to make an invention, people enquire about their inventor, appreciate their work, and try to follow their example. We must ask ourselves:
· Does it not occur to us to find out who has created all of this?
· Does the mind not direct us to know about the Creator?
· Who has made these resources that we use through the night and day?
· If it does not rain, can wheat grow and can life sustain?
· Have we ever thought about who nourishes the wheat and who creates the rainfall?
· What will happen if there is no rain, and what will happen if it does not stop raining?
· What did we bring into this world and what do we take along with us when we return?
Aadmi and Insan are two categories of human beings. While Insan lives in faith, Aadmi lives in doubt. God advises us to strengthen our faith and refrain from doubt because doubt is associated with distress, disease, dullness, nervousness, fear, and sorrow. He has made it clear in the following verse of the Holy Quran,
“This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). Who believe in the unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them.” (Quran, 2:2-3)
Since human beings consider wealth and happiness to be interrelated, they accumulate wealth round the clock.
A fisherman was lying on the deck of a boat and enjoying the weather as an industrialist passed by. He was upset to see that the fisherman was doing nothing. He went up to him and enquired, “Instead of wasting time, why do you not catch fish?”
The fisherman was lost in the expanse of the sky. The industrialist’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts and he answered, “ I have caught enough some more fish.”

The industrialist replied, “There is still time until sundown, you can catch some more fish.”
“What will I do with them?” The fisherman asked.
“You will earn more money, “ the industrialist said. “This money will help you install a motor in your boat, and it will relieve you from having to manually propel it. You will then be able to go into deeper waters to catch bigger fish. This will bring in enough money for you to buy nylon nets. With those nets, you can catch more fish and thus earn more money. Soon you will be in possession of another boat and gradually a fleet of boats. You will then become a rich man like me.”
The disinterested fisherman asked, “What will I do after that?
The industrialist answered, “You will relax and enjoy life.”
Upon hearing this, the fisherman smiled and replied, “What do you think I am doing right now?”
We must seriously introspect on what we are doing and the path we have chosen to tread upon. When one takes this temporary world to be a reality, they not only rob the rights of fellow beings but also harm other creatures who are busy serving the universe, such as the earth, sky, mountain, animals, insects, grains, etc. Usurping the rights of others is destructive and selfish, and this destruction is caused by doubt. Doubt creates a distance between people and God. Doubts give rise to a negative thinking pattern, which is the root cause of disease.
This world is viewed as a place of inventions. These inventions are an outcome of a thinking pattern that converts one’s faith into an illusion. However, these inventions are not new. History is full of examples of eras where the scope of inventions was beyond what is in present times. The work of those who lived centuries ago is being reintroduced as new inventions of the current times.
The scholars and intellectuals refer to this era as the pinnacle of awareness, but the circumstances mirror that this is an era of defiance, selfishness, injustice, diseases, pandemics, and natural disasters. We see that burial spaces in graveyards have shrunk. There is no doubt that the conditions in present times are critical, however, it is mankind that has invited catastrophe upon it itself.
The creator who loves us more than seventy mothers is Kind, Merciful, and Forgiving. Up until the very last moment, He continues to guide us to not initiate hurt upon ourselves or cause disruption in the system of the universe. But when people turn a deaf ear to the wakeup call, calamities, and natural diseases descend upon them.
Everyone has expectations from others and can be seen questioning what others have done for them. It does not occur to them to think on what they have done for others. Contemplate the system of the universe the entire universe is encompassed in the mercy of God, but due to a satanic layer that is wrapped around the minds gripped by illusion, people have made their lives a bed of thorns. The scarcity of food is incomprehensible, and poor immunity has weakened the nervous system resulting in a drop in life expectancy. Things have come to a point where people are neither living nor dying. Yet everyone seems to want to live more.
History is filled with examples of those who accumulated gold and silver but did not spend in the way of God, nor did they feed the hungry, provide clothing to the deprived, nor thanked God or bowed heads before Him, and they were met with a fateful end. If one does not take lessons from history, they should know that the nations before us were wiped out because of their disobedience. History has witnessed that a mosquito entered the brain of King Nimrod and left him powerless.
It is a practice of the Most Merciful and Benevolent God to warn creatures during their destructive times, because all the actions of an individual are recorded in the Khafi*. (Khafi is one of the six subtleties or energy centres in a human body.)
“And whoso doeth good an atom’s weight will see it then. And whoso doeth ill an atom’s weight will see it then.”
(Quran, 99:7-8)
God asks, “What do you understand about what Illiyen is, and what do you understand about what Sijjeen is?”
Sijjeen: The lowest place, a destructive life, sleeplessness, bundles of fire, cactus as food, and for gossipers – the blood of their fellowmen.
Illiyeen: A great place, a heavenly life, peaceful sleep, weather that is neither cold nor hot, life enriching winds, and everything that a human wants.
After reading the Message of the Day, readers are requested to ponder upon it, in the light of history. May God keep us away from the inspiration of Satan and his kin, and grant us a place in Illiyeen.
