(Surah Ikhlas: 1-4)
Respected Audience, visionary
and soft hearted friends, dear ones and fellows of the caravan of spiritual
journey.
Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed us with another year to advance and
progress Silsila Azeemiya. I am happy and you must also be delighted that
despite all the difficulties and hurdles, the path on which we had started our
journey, we have been blessed with the patronage of Qalandar Baba Auliya on
every step. Responsible people in the Silsila and, all those ladies and
gentlemen, who wanted to do something for the advancement of the Silsila, have
observed that when they took a step forward, Allah blessed us with resources.
We never had to complain of any dearth of resources nor we ever suffered lack
of means. After experiences and observations of so many times people of Silsila
can say with certitude that they are not bound by resources but resources need
them. We never had to bother about money for doing any work for Silsila or for
man power. This remained up to us if we wanted to do a small task, Allah helped
us to get it done and, if we undertook some big project, Allah helped us to get
it done. And, those who haven't done anything yet, when they will decide,
success will be theirs too.
However, this is a proven
fact and, is according to the laws of nature and, saying of Allah Almighty,
(Arabic text) (Surah Jasiya: 13)
Allah says, "And, all
that is there in the heavens and the earth, have been subjugated for man, has
been given to man's control. The earth, the heavens and all that is there in
the earth and the heavens, have been subjected to man's control." This
saying of Allah is recited and mentioned by over a billion Muslims but this is
true only for a few members of Silsila because they are the children of the
father who moves the strings of universe and Allah awaits his desire so that it
could be fulfilled.
This is not happening only now;
it's been happening for the last ten to twelve years. Not even a single person
can deny this. Markazi Muraqba Hall Karachi and Muraqba Halls in Hyderabad,
Lahore and other cities are few of the examples of these manifestations to
quote. People seek grants, take loans on interest and ask for donations and
still complain for non-availability of resources. It's sheer blessing of Allah
whenever the people of Silsila wanted to do something for Silsila, Allah met
their needs because of their father.
It is worth considering, why
this all is happening that the resources are available so easily? Resources do
not include money, gold and silver only. Resources means when we utter the word
the earth, all that is there in the earth is included in the resources. And,
when the heavens are mentioned, all that is there in the heavens and the skies
are also included in the resources, be it the angels of any zone; Elemental,
Heavenly, Archangels, courtiers and bearers of the dominion, according to the
law of Allah, (Arabic text) (Surah Jasiya: 13), everything has been subjugated
for man. And, when anyone takes a step with Allah's gifted certitude, they are
duty bound to obey man and serve him.
Why this all is happening?
It's a question, why this does not happen for others? One cannot build a house
on 60 yards and an Azeemi has a house of two acres, establishes a Muraqba Hall.
One cannot write a book and an Azeemi, when gets to it, writes 10, 20 books and,
they become popular, too. Why is this happening? This is a big question mark.
There are many other creatures of Allah. There are many other people, some just
make feasibilities, some struggle for resources. And, on the other hand, we
don't even consider resources worthy of our attention. We undertake a job and
that too for the sake of Allah and, then we should be worried about the
resources too. If we are dependent upon the resources then, how will we be able
to work. And, if we have to work for Allah why should we be bothering about the
resources. If we shall be depending upon the resources, we shall not be able to
work for Allah. Isn't that a double standard that we are working for Allah and
still depending upon resources.
In today's session we shall
deliberate, why is this with Silsila Azeemia? What's the reason of this
blessing of Allah? What does Allah want of us? As far as the resources are
concerned everyone is getting them and is benefitting from them. For instance,
the air is required for living and that is available to everyone without any
effort or struggle. This requirement is met automatically. To run human body
machine, fuel of oxygen is supplied whether one wants it or not. No factories
or machines are there for its production. To meet the food requirements land is
there. If this land turns rock hard, we'll not get a grain of wheat. This mean
the earth is forced to serve you because Allah wants the creatures living on
earth to live with resources. So on and so forth.
No matter how much you
deliberate, you will see that all the resources to meet the basic needs of
human life have been subjugated to man and all these resources are benefitting
man. But, amongst the men there are people who are always complaining and worrying
about the availability of resources but never bother to think that the basic resources
never deplete nor decrease. For example, food is a basic need, clothes are also
a basic need and the roof overhead is also a basic need. And, whether a man tries
or not, Allah provides these resources, which keep on meeting his needs
automatically. This proves that the resources are bound to fulfill the needs of
every person.
Now there is a group of
people who despite using the resources keep on complaining about the
non-availability of resources. This brings two types of situations before us.
One where majority of people, in spite of using all the resources of the nature,
keep on complaining and, never consider that all the resources required in my
life are abundantly available for me. Whereas the other type of people, who are
quite a few in numbers, do give it a thought that Allah created us by His Free
Will and as long as He would want, will keep us alive and, when would want He
would call us back.
This means we are born here
by the Will of Allah and the Nature is forced to provide resources to keep us
alive. If Nature will not provide resources, man will eventually die and, when
man will die charms of the world would also come to an end.
So this is a chain, a state
or a stage in spiritualism, which is technically called "Istaghna (Detachment)," which means
to abolish dependency of resources. No one can get closer to Allah unless he is
not liberated from the dependency of resources and their clutches. Because one
who remains trapped in resources cannot get closer to Allah. Astaghna is such a state of mind in
which the spiritual associate is made to practice this thing again and again
and, he faces situations whence he is forced to believe that there is nothing
but Allah. The certitude cannot be complete unless the observations,
experiences and certain states are not lived through.
Thus, it is a continuous process
for the members of Silsila Azeemiya to experience and observe that dependency
of resources is cut down and, one decides a thing for the sake of Allah and is
successful, so that the pattern of certitude is developed in him. How will you
not believe when a man comes wearing an underwear and has no cash even for food
but, in five or six years, he is found sitting in a building. Another thin and
lean man appears and makes Jamma e Azeemiya. Yet another man goes there, depending
upon Allah and Attock Muraqba Hall comes into being. A professor, a teacher who
cannot manage to meet his two ends, says he wants to build a Muraqba Hall. When
he stands up for the sake of Allah, a Muraqba Hall is built in Chiniot.
One cannot construct a house
on 50 yards and a teacher constructs a Muraqba Hall. Likewise, all our friends
who rose, strived and struggled for the sake of Allah, they all were blessed
with success. And, if somewhere they couldn't succeed, it was because of some
fault in their efforts or their pattern of certitude was not firm enough.
People in whom the pattern of certitude is firm and strong, according to the
Laws of Allah, each and every particle of the earth is subjugated to them. What
this wealth means? What is this gold? Particles of earth are called gold. Some
particles have been named as copper, some are called brass and some are termed
iron Gold and dust are same. Some of the very same particles are called gold. Man
has given importance to gold amongst the resources otherwise, it has no worth for
Allah. For Allah it is merely soil. Basis of the abundance of resources in
Silsila is that Hazor Qalandar Baba Auliya wants to make everyone in Silsila
experience and observe that Azeemis are not indigent to resources rather
resources are at their disposal. When the mind is free from the grip of resources,
it will obviously turn towards the Creator and the Provider of the resources.
As long as man keeps on relying upon resources, his mind remains entangled in
resources and resources will keep on riding on his nerves. Do this, do that,
how it should be done, won't let your mind get connected with the creator and
provider of the resources.
I just recited verses of Surah
Ikhlas before you.
(Arabic text)
This Surah of the holy Quran
has been mentioned many a times. Qalandar Baba Auliya gives it importance with
reference to Istaghna (Detachment).
Allah says, Allah is One,
creatures can't be one. Allah is insouciant, creatures have to be indigent and
needy. Creatures have to be fathered by someone and they father others.
Creatures have to have a family.
Please consider! Needs or
urges...Allah is free from urges or needs. Creatures have to have the urges and
needs. What do they need? They need resources for their urges. Creatures have
to be dependent upon resources. They cannot have born without a father, the
biggest of all the dependencies. Creatures have to have a family...this also is
a dependency. Creatures cannot be one, this also is an indigence.
Allahus sammad... Allah is
free of any need or indigence. Qalandar Baba Auliya says, in this Surah, Allah
has stated His five attributes. Man is helpless in four out of these five attributes.
He cannot alter them in any way. For instance, he cannot be one, he has to be
born of parents, he has to father someone and also has to have a family. Now,
the remaining one is His being free of needs and indigence, that is, He is not
indigent to resources, the resources rely upon Him.
See! Air is bound to obey
Allah. Oxygen has to obey Him. Likewise look at the machine of your body. This
machine is indigent of energy and the energy is indigent of Allah. So, there is
only one agency, man can do one thing, i.e. to consider and delve upon his life.
He is such a creation of Allah that can be free from the indigence of resources
provided that he could turns and focus his mind upon One and Only. The way Allah
is not needy of resources, so man can establish his link with Him after turning
his mind away from resources. And, for having this connection with Him
experience is also required and, has to have the observation, too. And, this
experience and observation must also be repetitive and recurring. One thing
happens and you say what a coincidence! Then there is another thing that
apparently seemed impossible but that too happens. Again you say, what a
coincidence! Thus, it keeps on happening and your tens of things get
completed... finally you will conclude, all that you considered to be happening
by chance, has happened because Allah wanted it to be so.
All these successes, worldly,
material or immaterial, love of holy Prophet (PBUH), love in us for Qalandar
Baba Auliya, closeness to Allah are evident that Qalandar Baba Auliya wants to
produce istaghna (Detachment) in all Azeemi
brethren and sisters. The more you will avail these experiences and observation
and the more you will ponder upon them, the more Istaghna will be there in you. Mind turns away from resources when
Istaghna is there and the real,
innocent and unconscious life starts dominating and the conscious life becomes
dominated.
Everyone who is sitting here,
once was a small child. There were no resources in his mind, he had no personal
preferences nor any choices. There was no ego in him nor he had any mind but,
still all the resources were being provided to him. This is quite evident for
all of us. We all have come from childhood and have entered into youth and from
youth we are heading towards old age. This means, resources were not an object
of discussion, whence our life started. Indigence of resources is not the part
of the conscious but the needs of life are fully met. You say, parents provided
them all. That's true parents provided them. But, we say, had Allah not put
love for children in the hearts of the parents, then?
If there is a mother and she
has two kids and another mother also has two kids. Can every mother love every
child equally? It's my personal experience, if you can have your kid in your
lap for an hour, you cannot bear the child of another mother so long. The way
you can sacrifice your sleep for your kid, you cannot do it for a child next
door. This is such an experience which no one can deny. Because the love of
your kid has been particularized for you. On what grounds this
particularization happens? Allah has blessed the hearts of the parents with
love for the kids born of them. All kids are loved by everyone. But, can a
mother say that she loves all the children as much as she loves her children?
Once Qalandar Baba Auliya,
related a story to me. There was a king who had no kids. Finally, he decided to
adopt a child and rear him. He asked his lady sweeper to bring him the cutest
and prettiest child as she had to go to many houses for sweeping. She agreed to
search a cute and beautiful child for the king. Day after day, week after week
and months after months went by and she fail to comply with the orders of the
king. One day the king got mad at her and said, if you failed to bring the
child by tomorrow, I will order to punish you. Next day she was there in the
court of the king with a child. The child had a running nose, was quite dark in
complexion and ugly in looks. King saw the child and asked her, couldn't you
find a better a child. She said, I couldn't find a more beautiful child than
him. King asked, who is he? She proudly informed him, he is my son!
So this is true, if Allah had
not put love in the hearts of the parents, they couldn't have reared children up.
Kids are reared and brought up and the parents don't even know when did they
grow.
As far as the resources are
concerned, a child is not even aware of the resources. This observation and
experience proves that the base and the start of everyone's life is devoid of
any sense of resources. The unconscious stimuli gradually start decreasing and
the conscious stimuli start increasing with the growth of a child. This is
known as becoming mature. With its consciousness, the man whose life had
commenced without any dependency upon resources, willfully and willingly,
starts relying upon the resources though he is not independent.
One who is reliant upon
resources, his mind will never turn towards the Creator of the resources. When
your mind will turn away from the resources only then you will be able to look
at the Creator of the resources i.e. Allah.
Day in and day out,
continuous experiences in our Silsila are that someone is blown upon, someone
is given an amulet and he gets well. Believe me only those don't get well,
whose certitude and belief is weak. Once I asked Qalandar Baba Auliya, I am not
versed with the making of amulets and charms nor can I understand them. He
said, "Khawaja Sahib, you just draw a line and that will work like an
effective charm or amulet."
I naturally thought, how a
line can work like an amulet or charm?
What is an amulet? It is a
movement of the mind with your belief and certitude. When you give an amulet to
a patient, tell him to recite something or tell him to chant something,
basically that is merely a movement of your mind. You may write a full page or
just draw a line or make a dot, purpose is to move your mind. Man is nothing
but a pattern of belief and certitude. All the people sitting here are here on
the basis of their belief that they are alive. If we lose this belief that we
are alive, we will be dead.
Qalandar Baba Auliya told me
that man cannot die unless he really wants to die. All those who die, they die
due to their belief and accepting death. He said, man is the superior most of
all creatures. Even the death angel is a slave to him. If the death-angel is
given the authority man will no longer be superior and the death angel will
become superior to him. Whereas, according to Allah, man is the superior most
of all creatures including all the angels, be it the ordinary angels or the
archangels (e.g. Israfeel, Mekael, Izraeal; death angel), whether man is aware
of this fact or not.
Once Qalandar Baba Auliya
related to me the story of Bahaudin Zakariya Multani. He was sick. An old man
came and knocked at the door. Elder son answered the door and saw an old man
standing there. He handed him a letter and asked him to deliver it to his
father. The son out of courtesy asked him to get in and have a seat. But, he
refused and said, just give him this letter and tell me what he says about
this. The son took the letter to his father. He read the letter and said, tell
him to come after half an hour. The son returned and told him what his father
had said. The old man nodded and left. After half an hour Bahaudin Zakiriya
passed away. After the burial the son had the thought of the old man whom his
father has asked to come after half an hour. And, he didn't come. He had given
a letter too. The letter was searched and was found under the pillow. The
letter read, "I am here to inform you that Big Boss has summoned you. What
is thy command for me? Azraeal; the Death Angel." And, he had said, come
after half an hour. The Death Angel came and took him along. Why? Because
Bahaudin Zakariya was well versed with the knowledge of his superiority.
Ghous Ali Shah has written an
event in his book Tazkira e Ghusiya. There was a man named Kafir Shah in Kaliar
Shareef (Presently Uttar Akhand; India). Once they both were strolling by a canal.
During the conversation Kafir Shah said, I have been summoned and I am leaving.
You need not to worry. And, he lay there on the ground and said, my soul is
leaving my feet, my legs and now it is leaving my chest and now it's leaving my
throat. So good bye! And he breathed his last. Ghous Ali Shah was quite
astonished to see him departing like that. In a while, the sun set and darkness
fell in. He thought, if he left the body there, animals may eat it up or may
some ghost get in it. So he remained there on guard. In this, he couldn't offer
his evening and night prayers. In the morning, he said to the corpse, what bad
had I done to you that you caused me into this trouble of spending the night
here like this. While he was complaining, Kafir Shah got up.
Ghous Ali Shah writes, he
thought some evil spirit has gotten in his body and that might attack him but
Kafir Shah said, No spirit, it's me. You need not to fear. Listen to me. You
were complaining, so I got back. You do what you had to do. So he did his ablution.
And after freshening up, he sat down and asked did you really die? And, if you
had died, how did you got back to life? He replied, just as I died twelve hours
ago, I'll will die again. And he again lied down and said, my soul is leaving
my feet now is leaving my legs. Ghous Ali Shah implored him and said, for God
sake, let's go to town and you die there. Here you will put me in trouble.
Kafir Shah said, order is order, I have to leave the world here. Ghous Ali Shah
asked, what happens after death in the hereafter? Kafir Shah said, I am not
allowed to disclose but with me all happened well. You need not to worry. This
is the place appointed for me. Few men will come in fifteen to twenty minutes
and you don’t have to wait a lot. They will be having the spades and shovels; the
digging tools. They will dig the grave. As far as the coffin is concerned, you
can give your sheet to wrap me and lay me in the grave. why to waste new cloth
for me. Before he could again die, Ghous Ali Shah asked him to tell him about
him. He said, there isn't much to tell as who I am and where do I belong to.
People started calling me Kafir Shah for my deeds so I took this name. I was a
prince and had left my empire for this path. And, I reached Sabir sahib and Allah
blessed me indeed. Then, he closed his eyes and died. Then the people arrived
and they dug the grave and buried him. See this also is the death.
This death is evident upon
man's supremacy over other creatures even the death. The angel of death is also
bound to take away the soul after having man's permission. If the death angel
can take you away by his choice and will then, according to Qalandar Baba
Auliya, you cannot be superior to him.
The superiority that Allah
has blessed you with, you have never attempted to search and gain it because
you have never considered it worthy of your attention. When you didn't give any
importance to the Allah's gifted superiority and didn't bother to search it,
you are deprived of the superiority. But, it is the law of nature, since Allah
has made you superior, resources do not disobey you. In the history of past
billions of years we don't find even a single instance when the sun had dared
to deny to provide the sunlight nor the moon has ever refused to give you
moonlight or the air has ever denied to fulfill man's needs.
All the resources are at your
disposal but when you allowed them to dominate you after self-negating,
refusing your unconscious, adopted the subjugation of the conscious. This
misfortune is self-adopted. It not from Allah.
Since Qalandar Baba Auliya
heads the department of resources, he is Saddar- us-sador, is the chief of
Administrative system, he wants every Azeemi to know and be aware of the fact
that an Azeemi cannot be indigent of resources. If he has to be indigent of
anyone that must be Allah only. This is the bright side of our life and this
the very lesson, which we have to learn. And, this is what is required to be practiced
and, this is what Qalandar Baba Auliya wants of us.
(Arabic text) (Surah Aly
Imran: 7)
He (Qalandar Baba Auliya)
wants that an Azeemi be strong and firm in his knowledge and, his knowledge
could become his observation and, it must be his observation that all is from
Allah. (Arabic Text) Everything is happening from Allah and is happening
because of Allah. Each and everything is rising and falling because of Allah.
And, everything is coming from Him and is returning to Him.
He must witness (Arabic text)
(Surah Baqra: 156) everything coming from Allah and is returning to Him. This is
necessary for him to witness because the spiritual science is the science based
upon practical observation. Spiritual science is the certitude, which cannot be
completed without observation.
Imam-e-Silsila has founded
this Silsila upon certitude, belief and knowledge, at the behest of Allah and
by His approval. People say there is much knowledge in this Silsila. Knowledge
is there in all Silasil but it is more prominent in this Silsila because the
Imam of this Silsila is nothing but knowledge of Allah and a reflection of
Allah's attribute of Knower. If songs are sung in a house, the kids would become
singers. If poetry is there in a house, the children would become poets. If
there are dances in their homes, the children would be dancers. If naats and recitations of Quran is there,
children would also read naats and
recite the Quran. If the parents are Praying, the kid would also copy them and
offer Prayers. And, if knowledge is discussed in a house, the kids would
eventually turn out to be knowledgeable.
So, the basic need of the Silsila is to learn
knowledge. What knowledge? the knowledge that is based upon observations not
the ostensible knowledge, not the knowledge of hearsay. That is, when you utter
the word Allah, Allah must be beheld. When you say, (Arabic text) (I bear
witness that there is no Ellah except Allah and I also testify that Mohammad
(PBUH) is the messenger and the servant of Allah) then you must bear in mind
that the testimony is acceptable only when it is by an eye witness. No matter
how many time you may testify, if you haven't seen it with your eyes, your
testimony will not be accepted. Qalandar Baba Auliya says, Allah has blessed
man with the sight, when he recites the second creed; Kalma-e- Shahadat, his
inner sight starts functioning and, he witnesses the holy Prophet (PBUH). So
why we shouldn't equip ourselves with the sight that when we should recite
(Arabic text) face of the holy Prophet appear before our vision. He must
witness that he is the apostle of Allah, the messenger of Allah. If this sight
is not there in a person, his testimony cannot be acceptable.
I liked the quiz program
performed by the kids. You heard them mentioning Ilm-ul-yaqeen, Ain-ul-yaqeen and haq-ul-yaqeen. One can be a Muslim on the basis of Ilm-ul-yaqeen but he cannot be a true
believer unless he is not versed with the haq-ul-yaqeen.
Belief hasn't entered him. Belief enters the heart only when the observing
sight is functioning in you. Otherwise, you just have ilm-ul-yaqeen. Allah has
sated, (Arabic text) (Surah Hujjarat: 14) These people say, we are Muslims, nay,
belief has not entered their hearts. Belief that is, certitude has not entered
their hearts. Certitude; the observing sight blessed to them hasn't been
activated in them.
No Muslim can deny that he
hasn't witnessed Allah. Let's get back into the realm of the souls. Allah had
said, 'kun' (Be!) and the universe
came into being. Universe had no idea, what it is, who it is, from where did it
come? Who made it? What's the purpose of its creation? That is, the universe
came into being but senses had not been produced in it. It had no sight, no
hearing and also had no understanding. Whatever it was, it had no feeling. So
in order to generate senses in soul; sight, hearing and perception, it was
asked, Am I not thy Lord. Qalandar Baba Auliya used to translate it as 'Am
I....am I not your Lord?' That means Allah presented Him before the creatures.
Voice of Allah echoed in the creatures and our souls heard it. Thus, first of
all the hearing was produced in the creatures, after hearing, Am I not your
Lord? When the hearing was produced in the souls, they became curious, from
where did this voice come? With this curiosity, the sight got activated and
they saw their Lord before them. As soon as the souls witnessed Allah before
them, they submitted, Indeed, (Arabic Text) Thou are your Lord!
That means when the voice of
Allah activated the hearing in the human beings. This hearing made them curios
and they got attentive towards the caller. This activated their sight and, they
witnessed their Lord. When they saw Him, articulation started functioning and,
they acknowledged His Lordship saying, Indeed! Thou are our Lord!
Who can say that he hasn't
witnessed Allah. If this material eye is the mean of sighting, then, after
death, why can't he see? A child is born. He doesn't see a thing in the beginning
but, gradually his sight starts working. This conscious sight is a fiction. It
is temporary, it has no significance. The real sight that was transferred to us
and, is the base of this fictional sight, is the sight that has beheld Allah.
Then, Allah asked, (Arabic Text) Am I not your Lord; am I not the only provider
of sustenance to you? Humans acknowledged by saying, (Arabic Text) We submit "Indeed!
Thou are the provider of the resources." Lordship means the one who
provides resources.
Now consider, the first voice
that you heard was that of Allah. The first thing, which you beheld was Allah.
The first thing that your tongue uttered, was to acknowledge His Lordship, that
is, accepted His lordship and acknowledged that we stand nowhere. You brought
us into being. How does you do it, we know nothing. We shall remain alive as
long as your Lordship will keep on providing resources to live.
Thus, man has witnessed Allah,
heard him, too, and has acknowledged that only He is the provider of the
resources. But after his birth, he moves reversely and says, if I do not do
business, how will I eat. If I do not work and labor, how will I feed my kids.
What labor you had done when you were in your mother's womb for nine months? You
were growing there like you are growing here, after your birth.
Istaghna has great significance in spiritualism. And, it is not
completed unless it is not repeated again and again and is not observed
repeatedly. It is the blessing of Qalandar Baba Auliya that he wants to have istaghna in each of his children. And, not
merely verbally but, wants them to experience it practically. How many times;
ten, twenty or hundred times, can you call some happening a mere coincidence? Allah
has blessed us with resources of all sorts. We are sitting here in this
wilderness and its almost 2 in the morning. This also is a form of resources. You
are resources for me. Had you not been here, to whom have I been addressing?
Trees? well, there aren't any trees.
It's already late enough and
there is much to be said. I want to submit to you that if the observing sight
is not operating in man, he has no superiority. If there is no pattern of
certitude and belief, he might be a Muslim but according to Allah's Laws, not a
believer. When the pattern of certitude is not there, there can't be any
superiority. Superior is he, in whom that sense of hearing is echoing which
caused him to see Allah. Superior is he who can witness Allah in the
materialist world, the way he had witnessed him in the Realm of the Souls.
Allah has stated, I am the second one where you are one and, I am the third one
where you are two. Can you see Him? Allah
is saying whence you are alone I am second one there. Allah forbid, Is Allah
misstating? When Allah has said, where you are alone, I am the second one
there. That means Allah is present but can only be seen by that sight, which
has observed Him. This material eye cannot behold Him.
Allah says, I am closer to
you than your Jugular Vein. When He said it, so it is. You may say, well I
cannot see Him? Allah is closer to your Jugular Vein; can you see your Jugular
Vein? When you cannot see your Jugular Vein, how will you see Him who is even
closer to you than that? How many of you are sitting here, can anyone say, he
is aware of his Jugular Vein? When you are not aware of your own self, how can
you witness Him who is closer to even yourself. Self means your soul, your real
being. When you are not aware of your soul, how can you see Allah?
Allah says, (Arabic text)
(Surah Zariyat: 21) "I am in you, then, why don't you see Me? How very foolish
of us. Allah is saying that He is in us and we are not interested to see Him.
What this 'in' means? The very same soul
because of which this body is moving, playing and jumping up and down, behaving
arrogantly and haughtily and, is encased in the shell of ego. If you will get
to the reality of your soul neither any arrogance nor haughtiness will remain
because the reality of your being will be disclosed upon you. As long as you
will keep considering this body of flesh and bones everything, soul will remain
in veil. Considering this physical system everything is nothing but ignorance
and foolishness. If this physical life is everything then why this body is
destroyed? Why it is dying and converting into dust particles? The thing that is
ever decreasing and perishing every second is what you are calling real. Man is
not mindful of the being because of which his body is moving, eating, drinking,
thinking or writing. When you are not paying attention then, how can you expect
that thing to come before you.
You are heading for KDA
office, lost in your thoughts and, upon your return if I ask you, how many
pools did you see on the way or how many bushes did you see? Did you see any
dog on the way? You will say no, I didn't notice. Because, if you are attentive
while you were going your way, according to your attentiveness things would
register in your mind, memory and conscious. And, if your mind is not attentive,
you may travel on that path even fifty times, you won't be able to tell what
did you see on the way. This is an example from your material life. When in
this material world, nothing can enter your senses nor can be remembered if you
are not fully attentive to it. Then, how can you notice the stimuli of the soul
without paying attention to them.
The basic thing required for
knowing the stimuli of the soul is to have the pattern of certitude. And, for having
this pattern of certainty, indigence of resources must be abolished. You have
to be very clear that I am not for the resources but the resources have been
produced for me, as is the fact. If you had been for the resources, the world
would have come into being after your birth. But, this world is pre-existing.
Not only that the world existed when we were born but it remains existing even
after our death.
Thus, the system that Allah
has fashioned, is made in such a manner that anything that is attentive to
something or anything is made to be attentive to something about, it has some
value otherwise it has no significance. Istaghna,
tawakal or qana’t and dependency
upon Allah etc. are to make man aware of the fact that man is not born here by
his will and, when man dies, he doesn't die of his will. Why do we want to
exercise our will in this small life in between our birth and death?
You don't have any control
over anything. The little control that we exercise is also granted to us by
Allah. That, too, is not our property or our personal ability. Allah has
blessed us with some control to certain limits and we are using it. Allah
caused us to be born, so we are born. Allah provided resources, so we are
living. When Allah forbids them, we pass away into another realm. And, another
system of resources is enforced there. The way we live here, eat and drink,
laugh and cry, sleep and awake similarly all these are also available in the
hereafter. But there is a difference. We come to this material world after
accepting indigence of resources granted to us by Allah.
(Arabic text) (Surah Baqara:
35)
Live in Paradise, eat and
drink with delight and obey what you are commanded to do and, don't do from
what you are forbidden. If you disobeyed, you will be amongst the transgressors.
You may call it a forbidden tree; it was symbolical sign of obedience. A
pattern of certitude was required that what Allah has commanded me is final. If
Allah has forbidden me, it is forbidden. If Allah said yes, it is yes. Because
of disobedience, the pattern of certitude cracked and doubts and dubiety found
its way in it. When doubt and dubiety made their way into the certitude, the
certitude became suppressed and the dubiety became dominating. Dominance of
dubiety created a state of restlessness in man. A state that is devoid of
stability and man was born here in the world of consciousness. This
consciousness is nothing but the change in certitude. The change that weakens
the certitude is known as consciousness.
There is no other way to curb
these conscious senses except the way, which Qalandar Baba Auliya has designed for
the Silsila-Azeemiya that they could experience that state, whence they are
forced to say, man is nothing, Allah is everything. This very thing is the blessing
of Qalandar Baba Auliya. May Allah grant us the ability to develop and improve our
pattern of certitude keeping the thinking pattern of our father Qalandar Baba
Auliya in view. The more this pattern of certitude will develop and improve in
us, accordingly we shall be able to return to the life of Paradise. That is,
remaining in this world we shall be able to enjoy the life of Paradise i.e. we
shall be liberated from time and space. And, when we shall enter the life of
Paradise liberating from the clutches of this worldly life, the pattern of
certitude will become as strong as it was there in our father Adam and mother
Eve.
When we get the mind and the
pattern of certitude that was there in Adam and Eve before disobedience, we
shall start witnessing Allah as they used to see, hear and converse with Him.
We already have witnessed Allah and will again start witnessing Him and hearing
Him. When we shall see Allah and hear Him we shall have the pattern of
certitude, according to Allah's mind. And, then obviously we could befriend
Allah.
Friend of Allah, as Allah
says, is closer to Him. Just as a friend is closer to one's friend. It is an
easy way for us because our elder Qalandar Baba Auliya is such a friend of
Allah that the Allah's will is granted to him. I am not saying that Qalandar
Baba Auliya had become God but Allah has blessed Qalandar Baba Auliya with that
authority, which is required for making, breaking, moving and running the
currents of life in the universe. It is now up to us, how much we acquire and
use or reject our father's inheritance.
You all came here from far
away and this is all the more delightful that wherever the Azeemies are, they
came here. Now it could be either because I wanted to see you and Allah
fulfilled my desire to see you all and, we could get closer to one another.
This Urs is such an occasion when we get together and live together and dine
like brethren and learn from the knowledge of Qalandar Baba Auliya.
I am grateful to you all that
you provided resources for my pleasure. May Allah bless you all with delight
and happiness. And, consider all these blessings of Allah that are showering
upon Silsila profoundly and don't take them for granted. See, why is it
happening so and, why no reliance of resources is there? All that we want to do for the sake of Allah,
holy Prophet (PBUH) and His Beloved Servant; Qalandar Baba Auliya, by the mercy
of Allah, it happens in such a manner that we hardly know and it is done.
(Arabic text) (Surah Raad: 3)
Those who ponder upon the signs of Allah they witness Allah in those signs.
And, they get closer to Allah resulting their deliberations. And, when someone
gets closer to Allah peace, tranquility, calm, bliss and solace becomes
prevalent for him.
Yesterday It so happened, I
asked someone why that task wasn't done? He replied, what can be done everyone
here is intoxicated. I said, I had said this. He said, that's right, but what
can be done, when one is sleepy and can't remember. Everyone is walking in a
daze. This also is a state of mind. Everyone is in a state of delightful ecstasy.
And, this is a wonder-working of Qalandar Baba Auliya. Whosoever comes here,
remains delightful and happy as if had many bottles of free holy wine. May Allah
bless us with ability to remain in this state of blissful ecstasy and, may the
love of Allah further be firmly rooted in us. Amen
Love of holy prophet be rooted
in us deeply. Amen
May we be blessed with
delights and happiness because of Qalandar Baba Auliya and, may we remain safe
and protected from difficulties, miseries, sorrows and illness. Amen
You all came here; it was
quite festive. The way a mother feels happy to see her kids happy and, a father
is delighted to see his children sitting together and enjoying. Believe you me,
like a father, I am also feeling delighted. I am grateful to Allah that He
blessed my children to come here to see me and they showed fraternity, respect,
consecration and sincerity. What greater fortune can it be for a father that
his children have love for one another and are sincere to each other and, they
are living a prosperous life. May Allah bless you with more resources. And, may
Allah bless you with more stability. May Allah draw you out of conscious
dominance and transfer you into the sphere of Unconscious in such a way that
your conscious and unconscious become parallel. Amen
The way you fly in heavens
during dreaming and you ambulate celestial realms in you Muraqba and witness
the lights and Beatific Visions according to your capacities, I pray and, I
want that you may see all that without dreaming or performing Muraqba and stay
happy. Amen
And, this concept of
closeness to Allah be spread the world over. Amen
Being a Muslim we are the
followers of the holy Prophet (PBUH) and being a human being, too, it is an
honor for us that we are duty bound to deliver the message of Allah to fellow
beings. It is the prophetic approach of prophets they were not specific for a
particular segment; they were the essence of the entire mankind. Their
teachings are for the entire mankind. No prophet is for a particular group of
people, either of a tribe or a particular nation. Allah sent prophets to guide
the humanity and they are the saviors of mankind. Qalandar Baba Auliya is the
prototype of the holy Prophet (PBUH). Qalandar Baba Auliya is blessed with the
thinking approach of the holy Prophet (PBUH). Since Qalandar Baba Auliya is our
father therefore, the prophetic approach is the inheritance for Azeemi
brethren. Unfortunate are the children that do not accept the inheritance of
their father. How Ill-fated are those children whose father has piles of wealth
and they are begging in the streets?
Allah has blessed us with
great honor and named us 'Saeed,' and has blessed us with the patronage of
Qalandar Baba Auliya. We are the people who are being patronized by an Abdal. I have read in the books that so
and so was such a great saint that he had seen an Abdal in his life time. And, that sage was so great that once he
had the honor of shaking hand with an Abdal.
That is, the degrees are appointed on one's seeing an Abdal and the other had the honor of shaking hand with him. And, we
are the children of an Abdal. Our inheritance
is nothing but spirituality and spiritualism. And, being the heirs of the one
with the knowledge, we are the heirs of knowledge. And, since Qalandar Baba
Auliya is the replication of the holy Prophet (PBUH), we are the heirs of his
certitude as well. If we have doubts and uncertainty in us that would only mean
that we are away from the inheritance of our father. And, the children who do
not acquire the inheritance of their father, are the unfortunate children. Pray
that all the members of Azeemiya- Silsila may not be included in the ill-fated
children. Amen
Pray that Allah may keep us safe and
protected. Amen
May Allah bless you all with love and
sincerity.
May bless you all with the courage to
find Allah within. Amen
May Allah bless you all with the
passion to serve the creatures. Amen
And, may Allah bless you with the
ability to acquaint with the knowledge of Qalandar Baba Auliya. Amen
May Allah bless you with the
cognition of the self. Amen
