(Arabic text)
Respected Ladies and Gentlemen, Members of Silsila Azeemiya,
elders and friends!
You all know that when something is
said, it cannot be understood unless both; the speaker and the audience, are not
fully attentive to that. It is necessary that the speaker must speak with a
neutral approach, presence of mind and clarity of thoughts and the audience
must listen to him with focused attention, concentration of mind and interest.
Concentration of mind and focused attention is necessary both for the speaker
and the audience to be ready to get down to the root of the stated thing.
The main purpose of all that I want
to tell you and, you want to hear from me is that I want to tell you about the
cognition of Allah and, how to get closer to Him and, if you will act upon them
after understanding them, you will indeed get closer to Him.
You have come here from faraway places
with the purpose of hearing something, which may open a way so that our efforts
and striving may succeed and our connection with our Allah is established. And,
for that, as I just submitted, focused attention and undivided concentration is
required. And, to have the focused concentration, we will imagine with closed
eyes, for five minutes that Allah is watching us. We pray to Allah, what the
speaker has to say is from Allah and what the audience listen to, they must infer
those meanings, which are pleasing for Allah and His apostle holy Prophet
Mohammad (PBUH).
((Arabic text)
Imagine with closed eyes that Allah
is watching me. Theoretically we all know that Allah is watching over us, He is
All-Present, Observing, All-Hearing, All-Knowing and Friend of His creatures
but, we have no practical experience of this thing. Therefore, to understand
this thing, we plead from the core of our hearts to the soul of Qalandar Baba
Auliya to shower his kind blessings upon us to enlighten our minds and hearts
with that light, which may help us see His Light. And, what we hear after this
brief Muraqba, we may be guided towards Allah's Noor. And, when we leave from
here, for most of the time if not for ever, we shall remain in the blissful
ecstatic state of mindfulness that our life and every moment of our life is
from Allah.
After a brief Muraqba...
(Arabic text) (Surah Noor: 35)
(Arabic text) (Surah Ikhlas: 1-4)
Allah states in the holy Quran, (Arabic text),
Allah is the Noor of the heavens and the earth. And explains what this Noor is?
And says, (Arabic text) Allah guides him to His Noor, whosoever He desires. And
(Arabic text), He makes things clear by giving examples. (Arabic text) And Allah
knows about everything. In the second Surah that I just recited; Surah Ikhlas,
Allah says, "O' Prophet! Say, Allah is One." (Arabic text)
"Allah is free of all wants." He is free from any need and
requirement. (Arabic text) He begets not and nor is He begotten. (Arabic text)
And, He has no family.
Now, by the ability that has been blessed
upon us by Allah and, in the light of the spiritual sciences of Qalandar Baba
Auliya, we shall delve into these verses. (Arabic text) "Allah is the Noor of the heavens and earth."
That is, the basis of the movements in heavens and the earth, the creatures in
the heavens and the earth and all that is there, is the Noor of Allah. Allah is
there in everything with His Nooric
Attributes. Anything upon the earth and in the heavens has no exception to this
Law. Manifestation of anything is evident upon the fact that, everything has Allah's
Noor in it. If Allah's Noor is not there in an object, it cannot exist. (Arabic
text) Noor cannot be translated as Light and will make it an allegorical
statement. And when we call Noor as Noor, we refer to that reality which is
above any allegory and, which cannot be denied.
Amongst all the creatures, only two
are ordained creatures. One is the man and, the other one is the jinn. But,
when Adam was appointed the vicegerent of Allah and, he was taught that knowledge,
which was not known by the angels and the jinns were also unaware of that
knowledge and still are, so Adam was declared the most superior to all
creatures.
(Arabic text) (Surah Baqra: 31)
"And, Adam was taught the knowledge of all Appellations, that is, the
knowledge about all Attributes of Allah was granted to Adam." This (Arabic
text) hasn't been said about angels, jinns or any other creature, whereas other
creatures also have consciousness, senses and are aware of good and bad. For
instance, Allah says, (Arabic text) (Surah Ahzab: 72), "We presented Our
Trust before the heavens, the earth and the mountains.” (Arabic text) The
heavens and all the creatures therein, the earth and all the existents on the
earth and the mountains, (Arabic text) they avoided to lift it up and said,
(Arabic text), "If we lifted it up, accepted it, we shall be crushed under
its weight." Our existence will annihilate. (Arabic text), "And man
accepted to lift the Trust." (Arabic text) "Indeed, man is tyrant
ignorant."
According to the holy statement of Allah,
if the heavens, the earth, the mountains agreed to lift the burden of the
trust, they will be crushed into pieces. This proves that they had the conscious.
If they hadn't had the conscious, they wouldn't have said that they cannot
accept or bear the responsibility. But when man accepted to bear the
responsibility, noticing man's haste Allah pronounced him, (Arabic text), "Indeed,
he is tyrant ignorant."
This means, on one hand man,
according to Allah's saying, is tyrant ignorant and, on the other hand, he is the
Allah's trustee. This means, if being the trustee of Allah, he uses the
entrusted powers and benefits himself by the trust reposed in him then, he
enjoys supremacy. And, if he is not aware of the significance of the entrusted
responsibility, he is ignorant, he is tyrant.
Presently, the situation is that
despite being the trustee of Allah, man is unaware of the entrusted responsibilities.
What is this trust? This is the position of Allah's vicegerent and the ability
to deputize Allah. These are the delegated powers and the authority to exercise
over the universe and for which the angels prostrated before him. Using these
powers he can partake in the Kingdom of Allah.
What is this Trust? (Arabic text)
(Surah Baqara: 31), or to say, when man accepted to shoulder the responsibility,
Allah entrusted him to be His vicegerent and to be His deputy. And, to teach
him about the affairs related to the esteemed post of His deputy, Allah
transferred His Attributes, which are termed, (Arabic text) "And Adam was
taught the knowledge of all the Appellations."
Angels submitted, "O' Allah Thou
are granting this knowledge to the one who will create mischief and shed blood."
Upon this Allah asked Adam to demonstrate the knowledge taught to him. When
Adam demonstrated the knowledge learned, the angels submitted in humility,
"We knew only what Thou have taught us." Or to say, they accepted
Adam's supremacy.
What caused them to accept the
supremacy of Adam? Was that the man's physical body of flesh and bones? This
point is worth considering. Allah says, "We created Adam's effigy from
resounding clay." Resounding clay means, Adam was created from an empty
void. Then, Allah says, "This void had no sense of hearing, speech or
feeling. (Arabic text) (Surah Al-Hajar: 29) We put soul out of Our Soul in that
void; in that effigy.
Now you recite the verse, (Arabic
text), "Allah is the Noor of the heavens and the earth." That is, the
earth and the heavens are active and running because of Allah's Noor. And Allah's
putting out of His soul into Adam means, Allah has put His Noor into the effigy
of man. Transference of Noor doesn't mean that Allah forbidding, it makes man a
god. But, according to Allah's statement, (Arabic text) (Surah Al-Hijar: 29)
"Put soul out of Our Soul." And Allah is the Noor. It means, the
thing that makes man superior, is the ability to know the Noor of Allah, though
everything existing in the universe is made of Allah's Noor, but they don't
have the ability of knowing Allah's Noor.
The only creation that has been given
the knowledge to witness the Noor flowing in him, benefit from the Noor and
exercise his control over the universe, is man. And, about man Allah has said,
(Arabic text) (Surah Jasiya: 13) "All that is there in the heavens and the
earth has been subjugated for you."
(Arabic text) (Surah Nahal: 12)
"And, the Day and the Night have been subjugated for you and, the sun, the
moon and the stars have been given to your command." Taking the meanings
of subjugation of the sun and moon to rise and set on their time, to provide
the sunlight and the moon light, is nothing but short of wisdom, lack of
reasoning and ignorance. Sun provides sunlight to all. If it is providing sunlight
to birds, does it mean that it is subjugated to birds, too. If it is giving
sunlight to cattle, does it make it subjugated to cattle, too? If the sunlight
is given to the soil, mud and mire, Allah forbid, will you say that the sun is
subjugated to soil and mud?
Sun rises in the east, reaches the
meridian, declines and sets in the west. This is perpetual movement that is
continuing for the millions of years and this movement is subjugated for man is
not tenable. Because every creature on the earth is benefitting from the sun. Conquest
means that the personal life of the sun, what the sun is in actual effect, how
it rises, what is its actual position? Can man influence the sun? If man can
influence the sun, that corroborates the sense of conquest. If man cannot bring
any change in the sun, cannot influence its formation then, the sun is
subjugated to all.
(Arabic text) (Surah Nahal: 12)
" Allah is saying, “We have subjugated the stars too”. He is saying that
the earth has also been subjugated to you and the skies have also been given to
your command, that means, the creations of the skies have also been given to
man's command. That is, the angels have also been subjugated to man. Because (Arabic
text) only man can know Allah's Noor, which is flowing through the entire
universe and providing life to the cosmos.
(Arabic text) (Surah Baqara: 31)
"And Adam was taught all the Appellations." That means, Adam was
taught all the formulae and the wisdom upon which the universe is established.
For understanding that Noor, we must peep into our inner self. This is not at
all difficult. It is quite easy. I am repeating all these things again and
again because repetition helps in remembering many things.
Mashallah, so
many of you are sitting here. Can someone say, man can move, eat, drink or
sleep without soul? No, not a single person can say so. The very soul is
Allah's Noor. Then, reality of man is Allah's Noor. Soul is the reality of man.
Material body has no significance on its own. If the soul is not transferred to
the fetus in the womb of the mother, it will be a still-birth. After one's
birth, at any stage, if the soul breaks away its connection with the body, man
cannot live any longer and becomes a dead body.
Tell me, have you ever seen any
movement in a dead-body? Has any corpse ever been married, given birth to a
child, have eaten food or drank water? You may dissect a dead body into pieces
with a knife, will it offer any resistance? Then, where does this material body
stand? Material body matters only when there is soul in it. And the soul is the
(Arabic text), that is, the soul is not only in humans it is there in every
creature of the earth and the heavens. Allah's Noor is operating in all.
Man is superior only because he has
been made familiar with the soul, Allah's Noor, in the eternity. When Allah
said, 'Kun' (Be!) and the entire
universe came into being, including the humans, the trees; everything. Human
souls also came into being in billions and trillions.
At this stage, souls were neither
able to see, hear nor had any sense of others. They were only aware of
themselves. To break their inertia, Allah presented Him before the souls and
asked them, (Arabic Text) "I am your Lord?" When the souls heard the
voice, they became attentive to Allah. The first ever sound the souls heard was
the voice of Allah i.e. the souls have heard the voice of Allah. After hearing
the voice of Allah, they became attentive and saw Allah i.e. the first ever
thing the souls beheld was Allah. After witnessing Him, the question asked was
considered by the souls and they replied in affirmation. (Arabic Text) "Yes!
Indeed, You are our Lord!"
That means the first thing the souls
heard was the voice of Allah. After hearing the voice of Allah, the first thing
the souls saw was Allah. And, after witnessing Him, the first thing they
uttered was the acknowledgement of Allah's Lordship. (Arabic text) "Am I
not your Lord?" It clearly means, in eternity, souls have heard the voice
of Allah, have seen Allah and have acknowledged His Lordship.
Now, please consider, can anybody
perform any activity in the world without soul? Tell me, if anyone can do it? Let
me hear from you. The real person in us is this physical body or the soul?
Audience... The soul!
The soul has heard the voice of Allah.
Soul has seen Allah. After witnessing Allah soul has acknowledged Allah's
Lordship. When your real self has heard Allah, has seen Allah, has acknowledged
His Lordship then, why can't you see Allah? The first ever target of your sight
was Allah. This simply means if a person becomes familiar with his real self,
his life, his soul, his inner self and the real person in him then, what will
happen?
Audience... Acquaintance with Allah!
Yes. He will be acquainted with
Allah. There is not much to think about. Soul is your real self. Tell me! Do
you agree that your soul is your real self? Or tell me, can you have food in the
absence of your soul? Can you drink water without your soul in you? Can you
deliver a baby without having life in you? Can you marry without having a soul
in you? Can you labor or do a job with your soulless body? Can you have fever,
can you be healthy, can you feel hot or cold without having soul in you?
The physical body is subject to the
soul. The physical body has no significance if the soul or life is not there in
it. Thus, what's real?
Few of the audience...The soul!
No, all of you tell me.
Audience... The soul!
The real of you; the soul has seen
Allah?
Audience...Yes!
Has heard Allah's Voice?
Audience... Yes!
Has acknowledged Allah's Lordship?
Audience...Yes!
Then, why don't you behold Allah when
the soul is your real self?
Audience... We are not familiar with
the soul.
Everyone is familiar with one's soul,
spirit or life. All know when soul quits. Who says you are not familiar? When
some relative of yours dies, you say his soul departed. Yes, or no?
Audience...Yes!
That means you are familiar with the
soul. But you don't believe it as you should be believing. It is nothing more
than hearsay for you. You just hear that soul has departed. The actual reality
is that we consider our physical body everything. I did this, I did that. We
did that. Now, they recite naats and
will say how nicely they recited it. If their soul departs, can they recite it?
They will say, "Azeemi Sahib spoke well."
If Azeemi Sahib expires now and here, he won't be able to utter a single word.
So, how did Azeemi Sahib say?
So, the same soul, spirit or life is
operating in all the creatures whether they are in the heavens or the earth.
(Arabic text) "Allah is the Noor of the heavens and the earth."
Allah's Noor is operating in all. Man is the only creature that has been
blessed with the knowledge of the soul, that is, Allah has clearly told us that
in the eternity, when the soul had not made the material body its garment. When
it had not disguised itself and was the pure soul, this pure soul; the soul had
listened to Allah's Voice, beheld Him and after beholding Him, had acknowledged
His Lordship.
When the soul came down in the
material form, after coming into the material body, our society, our elders,
our ancestors didn't tell us that the soul is our real being. They told us that
this material body is the reality. To correct this very mistake, Allah sent one
hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets. Every apostle taught us that this
physical body is not our real self. This physical body is the covering robe, an
envelope, a shirt and trousers or a coat. The sleeve of a coat will only move
when the coat is worn by a person. When the coat is taken off and is put on a
hanger, its sleeve will not move.
Similarly, our physical body is a
garment worn by the soul. As long the soul remains in the body, hands, feet,
legs will move, eyes will blink, heart will beat, information will come into
brain and brain will ascribe meanings to the information received. And, when
the soul will take off this robe of physical body and discard it, it will no
longer be able to blink eyes, no thought will occur, will not be able to
deliver a speech, won't be able to compose any poetry, won't be able to move
around, no progress can be made in the field of science, no invention will be
there nor any house could be constructed. Nothing will be there. If Allah tells
the souls of the citizens of a city to quit their bodies, will there be any
festivity in the markets of the city? Will any house be constructed there? Will
there be any road and pathway? Will there be any plantation? Will there be any
hospital? Will there be anyone sick or healthy? Will there be any marriage? Why?
Why? Because the soul, which is the real self, has dissociated itself from the
physical body.
In short, this physical body is
nothing more than a garment. If the soul is there in the body, man is alive,
moves around, thinks, gets angry, feels jealous, hates and loves. Man gives
charity, is miser and a saver. It is altogether a different discussion, what's charity
or misery? But you tell me. If the soul or the spirit is not there in the body,
which body movement can be performed? So, what's your real self?
Audience... The soul!
Soul has witnessed Allah, so in other
words, you have seen Allah. When your real self is the soul and, the soul has
seen Allah, soul has heard Allah's Voice and has acknowledged Allah's Lordship.
And, if man says, he cannot see Allah, cannot hear Allah's Voice and misstates
that he hasn't acknowledged Allah's Lordship.
(Arabic text) (Surah Ahzab: 72)
"Indeed, it is tyrant ignorance." Spirituality is not an enigma, philosophy
or logic. It's very simple. Like one plus one is two, man cannot move without
his soul, cannot speak without soul, cannot write without soul, without a soul
one cannot think, sleep or awaken. Nothing can be done without the soul.
Soul has witnessed Allah; we only
have to do this much that we should acquaint ourselves with our soul. All our
relations, like husband and wife, parents, brothers and sisters, friends etc.
on one side, are due to the soul and, on the other, due to the physical body.
All our physical relations are because of the physical body. The husband and
wife, mother and father. Allah says, (Arabic text) (Surah Ikhlas: 1-4)
"Say, Allah is one." Whenever the material body is mentioned, it is
bound to be in plurality. Material body means plurality. All relations sprout
from physical being. The physical body is supposed to be always dependent upon
others. Needs resources, needs to eat, needs to drink, needs children, needs
parents, needs land, needs rain, needs water, needs air, needs oxygen, needs
water, needs clothes, needs hunger and thirst, needs sleep and awakening, or to
say, you cannot think of a thing in this life when man is not indigent. Give it
a thought. Any phase of life when man is free of wants and needs? Tell me. Come
on tell me even a single instance whence man is free of wants and needs. You must
have parents for your birth. You need parents after your birth. When you grow a
little, when need teachers and schools. When you have grown up, you need to do
a job or do a business. Upon maturity you need to be married. The more you
grow, the more are your needs.
And, Allah says, (Arabic text) Allah
is insouciant. Allah is not dependent upon anyone, not in any manner. Man
cannot be one. Material body cannot be one. They are always in plurality. Allah
is one, that is, Allah is free from physical existence. (Arabic text) Allah is
Insouciant. Creatures cannot be free from need. They cannot live without
oxygen, water, air and bread etc.
Now what should man do? There is Noor,
soul in man. When soul wears the body as its covering dress, the body becomes
dependent upon resources, but the soul remains indigent of resources. Man
cannot be one, he is to be in plurality. Creatures must be in plurality. Man
cannot be without a father, must have offspring. Man cannot be free from the
family ties. It is an attribute of Allah. (Arabic Text) Allah is not needy of
anything or anyone. If man could have his expectation banked upon Allah after abandoning
his expectation from others, he gets closer to his soul. This is the formula, a
spiritual formula that if man relinquishes his expectations from other people
and, associates all his expectations with Allah and considers Allah his sole benefactor
and, if this certitude establishes in a person that doer of everything is
Allah, giver of life is Allah, causing one to born here is Allah, Allah is the
provider of resources.
Allah blesses us with children and
Allah is causing us to die. And, when this certitude is developed, he will
abandon expecting from others and when one stops expecting from others, his expectations
will be rested upon Allah. When he feels hungry and will eat something, his
mind will automatically turn towards Allah that Allah made him to eat. When he
feels thirsty, quenches his thirst by drinking water, his mind automatically
turns towards Allah that Allah quenched his thirst and provided him with water.
When he has kids, his mind will turn towards Allah that Allah blessed him with
kids. When Allah calls him back, he will be happy that Allah has called him
back. So, he will return happily.
Thus, this is the point, when man
abandons his expectations from others, he becomes acquainted with his soul.
It's quite simple but, still man keeps on expecting from others. And this makes
it difficult for him. It is not at all difficult. Your connection with Allah
will establish when you start considering Allah, sole benefactor after
relinquishing all your expectations from others. Not verbally only. Verbally
all say that Allah provides, but it will affect only when this becomes one's
certitude.
(Arabic text) (Surah Aly Imran: 7)
Those who become firm in their knowledge say that it is their observation and
so they believe that everything here is from Allah. There is nothing which is
beyond the powers of Allah.
You give it consideration, is there
anything which is beyond the powers of Allah? The water, air, oxygen, the sun,
moon, stars, the earth, fruits and all the sustenance that are blessed to us.
You tell me what is your involvement in any of these things? Everything is from
Allah.
Qalandar Baba Auliya, explaining
Surah Ikhlas has said, if man takes Allah his benefactor, with certitude and
rests all his expectations upon Allah alone, he becomes aware of his real self.
He becomes acquainted with his soul. And, when he is aware of his soul, the real
philosophy of life and death transpires upon him.
No one is alive or dead here.
Actually no one knows what's happening here. A child is born today and dies the
same day. Next day he is born again and dies again the second day, too. On
third day of his life, he is born again and, so on till he becomes one year of
his age. See! Child started dying soon after his birth. Becoming young means
his childhood passed away. Then, he grows old, which means, his youth also
passed away.
After one's death one becomes unseen
and doesn't return to his former state. Have you ever seen an old man becoming
young again? In short, you must understand with certainty that the material
body is not real. The more you ponder upon this, the more it will become clear
to you that the material body is not our real-self, soul is our real-self. Soul
has sighted Allah. And, in order to have the cognition of the soul, you have to
abandon your expectations from others and rest them upon Allah. Love people
because they are the creatures of Allah. Help others because Allah likes it.
Educate your children because Allah wants you to train them in such a humane manner
that they help others.
In short, if you comprehended this
small thing, that's all. And, if you do not understand it, then it's nothing.
There is a saying, a religious scholar was reading the story of Zulaikha. His sermon
kept going the whole night. Near morning, one of the audiences got up and
asked, whether this Zulaikha was a male or a female?
Now you tell me. You all tell me. What
did you understand of the sermon, of my entire speech or address before you?
Audience... Soul is the real self.
And what is this physical body?
Audience... It's nothing.
No, it is something.
Audience...It's the covering dress.
Yes. It's the garment of the soul,
that is, coat and trouser for men. And, for ladies, Shalwar Qamees and Dopatta
(Scarf). So, are you living because of your real-self or for the Scarf?
Audience... Because of the Real self.
No, you are living only for the
scarf.
Ok. The soul knows Allah, that means,
you also know Allah. And, since we are not familiar with our soul, what is the
soul and what is the method to acquaint ourselves with our soul? Yes, what's
the method? I just told you now. Tell me!
Audiences opinioned severally.
Have expectations from others as much
as Allah wants you to expect from them. Relinquishing expectation doesn't mean
that a wife tells her husband that she has no expectations from him so he
should simply handover the day long earnings to her and leave without expecting
to have dinner. Relinquishing expectations doesn't mean to abandon the
reasoning and tear off one another's clothes and reject them saying, you have
nothing to do with us, Allah will provide me the resources.
You must have working relations with
everyone but don't consider them gods. Man is to help each other. Qalandar Baba
Auliya used to say, man is the remedy for one another. Husband and wife have
rights. Husbands must fulfill wife's rights and wives must fulfill the rights
of their husbands. Because Allah has appointed these responsibilities for them.
And other's rights are to be met for the sake of Allah. All that a man must do
for his wife and the wife for her husband, must be for the sake of Allah.
If you rear up your children that
they will be a support for you in your old age, no one knows whether they will
be or not. Now a days, when parents grow old, children drop them in Edhi's old
homes, that is, parents want their children to be their support in old age and
the children deposit them into old houses. Bring up your children because Allah
has appointed you for their bringing up and you must bring them up as a better
human being. Make them the type of a person, the way Allah wants them to be.
This is how to have expectation from Allah.
Let's resolve yet another problem in
a minute or two. Tell me, do you want to get closer to Allah or want to get
away from Him?
Audience...want to meet Allah
When can man meets Allah?
Audience... (mixed responses)
When one dies, he meets Allah. Tell
me. Do you feel happy or afraid of dying? Tell me honestly, don't lie. Aren't
you scared of death? That simply means, you are afraid of going to Allah rather
you don't want to go to Him. Think! Every one of us fears dying. No matter how
scared you might be of death, ultimately you must die. You believe that we will
die, will meet Allah after death. We all know this. Then, doesn't scaring from
death mean that we don’t want to meet Allah? Then, aren't we telling lies?
Whether we are afraid or not, we must die.
It is the statement of the holy
Prophet (PBUH) that a believer longs for death. Believers want to be released
from this prison as early as possible so that they can reach Allah. Simply it
means that feeling scared of death means one is not a “momin” and doesn't want
to meet Allah. Scare of death means that one is considering this world
everything though this world is fiction and temporary. Father didn't last,
grandfather and great-grandfather didn't last, now I am a father and a
grandfather, how can I last forever?
Wishing for the death also doesn't
mean to commit suicide by consuming poison. Allah has forbidden that too. It
means, live in the world as long as Allah wants you to stay here, stay here and
when He calls you back, return to Him delightedly. Be gleeful when the Creator calls
you back. Holy Prophet (PBUH) has said, Believer's death is not different than
a thread that is being pulled out of a kneaded flour and when a person
entangled in the world dies, his death resembles the pulling of the clothe that
is spread over a thorny berry and it is all shredded. So, what's need to be
scared of death?
Qalandar Baba Auliya used to say that
death is the greatest of all guardians. Why? Why? Because Allah has stated,
(Arabic text) (Surah Baqara: 24) And, whosoever is born in this world, must
remain in this prison for an appointed time. He cannot escape from the prison.
If he will escape, the Death Angel will be held responsible, how this man could
leave the prison without completing the term. You have a Pakistani Passport;
you cannot enter London without a visa. If you get there stealthily, the
officials on duty will be taken to the task.
Similarly, if the 'visa' of Alam e Airaf is not there, you cannot
enter that realm. It is the System of Allah. It's the Law. You may try, no
matter how hard you try, you won't die. You might have read about countless
suicidal attempts in the papers. Some jump off the Kemari Bridge, some jump off
a twelve storied building, some do this, and some do that and still survive
rather they face the charges for attempting suicide. And face the courts for
that.
If, you will stop feeling scared of
death and start considering death your guard, you will be liberated from the attachments
of this world. You'll consider this world an inn, a prison. What's special
about this world? Visit any house, you find them complaining and belligerent.
Waqar Sahib was telling that Abba Ji responded to 1.8 million letters of people
facing different problems. Not one of those 1.8 million letters was from a
happy soul. All those 1.8 million were sad and in anguish. I think there are many
times more than those 1.8 million. Why are they in anguish? Anguish means that
we have taken this world and the material body as everything. Whereas this
world is a prison, a tavern, a place to live for a limited time. Everyone who has
come here, must leave this world.
(Arabic text) (Surah Zilzal: 7-8)
This is the world where if you do a
good like a speck, that is recorded and if you do an evil equal to a speck that
too is recorded. (Then, hinting towards the shoulders said,) Karaman Katebeen are sitting here. It is
said that they have registers with them. Instead of registers, you can take
them as video cameras of Allah. One camera is installed on right hand side and
the other one is on the left-hand side and they are recording the film. And,
when one dies, these films show him that this is what you have been doing in
the world.
(Arabic text) (Surah Zilzal: 7) A deed
equal to a speck is recorded and will be shown. It is no different than
installing an in-house video camera. Everything will be captured in it, when
did you wake up and when you did what, when did you take water, when did you
sneeze, when did you leave the house and when did you return, all and
everything is recorded. Likewise, Karaman
Katebeen; the Cameras of Allah shooting your film, and nothing could remain
hidden from them.
You tell me. Do you believe that
Allah is watching over us? Yes? Raise your hands if you believe that Allah is
watching over us. And, when does one sin? When no one is watching him. Then,
when Allah is watching over us, all the time, how can you commit a sin? Thus,
once this thing is established in a person, he will not move even his finger
against the Will of Allah.
You are saying it verbally only, you
don't mean it. You must be testifying to it in your heart that Allah is
watching over you. The problem will be solved, and you will learn spirituality
as well and, you will reach Allah. And, all that Allah has blessed you with,
all the knowledge taught to you as a human, will also be transferred to you.
You all came here from faraway places.
We attempted to finish our program by 11 O' clock, but we were late. All that I
said, may it be understood by you. All that you heard; may I understand that.
Otherwise, let it be for the next time, we'll have a session together. It
certainly is a pleasure to talk to you. May Allah accept your coming here and
please you for taking pains for the sake of Allah. You have love for Allah in
your heart. Indeed, Allah is pleased with you, otherwise how could you have
remained seated here for so long. Had Allah not wanted you to sit here, you would
not have been able to remain sitting. May Allah bless us the ability to trudge
along the straight path having the belief with certitude that our physical body
is the dress for the soul and, our soul is our real self.
