(Arabic text) (Surah Baqara: 1-5)
Translation: "There
is no doubt in this Book. It provides guidance to those who are muttaqi. Muttaqi are the people who
believe in the unseen and establish salaat and spend from the sustenance that
we provide to them. And, they believe in what we revealed upon them and the
people before them and they believe in the hereafter. They are the ones who are
guided by their Lord, and it is those who will prosper."
(Arabic text) (Surah Airaf: 56)
"Indeed
Mercy of Allah is closer to the virtuous ones."
(Arabic text)
(Surah Al Anbiya: 107)
"And, we
have sent thee as a Mercy for the worlds."
(Arabic text)
(Surah Ahzab: 40)
"Mohammad
is not the father of any of your men but he is the messenger of Allah, And, the
seal of the prophets and Allah has the full knowledge of all things."
(Arabic text)
(Surah Ahzab: 56)
"Allah
and His angels send blessings on the Prophet, O' ye that believe! send ye
blessings and salute him with all respect."
(Arabic text)
(Darood e Ibrahimi)
Translation:
O Allah exalt Mohammad and his progeny like You exalted Ibrahim and his
progeny, indeed Thou are the Praiseworthy and Grand. O; Allah bless Mohammad
and his progeny the way you blessed Ibrahim and his progeny, indeed Thou are
Praiseworthy and Grand."
It is almost
midnight. God said to the holy Prophet (PBUH); (Arabic text) (Surah Muzzammil:
1-4)
"O' thou
folded in garments, stand to pray by night but not all night. Half of it or a
little less or a little more. And, recite the Quran in slow rhythmic
tone."
That means,
Allah has commanded holy Prophet (PBUH) to pray at midnight. I just recited the
first raku of Suraha Baqara. we shall chant a little and perform Muraqba for a
while. And, then we shall talk about the relationship of the body and the soul
in a manner that you may understand what I'll tell you and I also know of your
understanding.
(Arabic text)
We shall chant a little of first part of the first creed. It gives peace of
heart. (Arabic text) "Heart is consoled by mentioning of Allah. It
enlightens the conscious. The lights; of the body of lights covering this
physical body, which has been termed as Nasma
by Qalandar Baba Auliya and Jism e Misali
by Mohaiuddin Ibn e Arabi, are increased. When these lights overflow, man is
filled with peace.

Everyone
enters youth from childhood and becomes old after passing through youth. Youth
and childhood are our past, our experience, and is our life and the record of
all our emotions and feelings. Now we shall imagine that we are twelve years of
age. Recalling the time when we were twelve years of age is not difficult
because we entered our thirteenth year after passing the twelfth. So we shall
imagine for a few minutes that we are a child of twelve years. When you will
think of that age some incident or event will come to your mind, focus on that.
(Muraqba.)
Respected ladies and gentlemen, honorable
friends, and elders. We just performed the Muraqba of our twelfth year. We
performed this Muraqba because in this gathering today, we shall talk about the
past. Sparing the future and present aside, we shall be discussing the past.
During imagining of your twelfth year, you must have recalled one or more things
of that age.
I recalled my
home back there in India, there was a staircase. I used to go upstairs and sit
quietly. Once, sitting there I was thinking, why does a man die? The reason of
this thinking was the death of my grandmother, she used to love me a lot and
departing from her was quite saddening for me. And, since her demise was fresh,
so I was thinking, why does a man die?
Now tell me,
what did you recollect from that age of yours?
(Please
switch on the lights, it's quite dark over here.)
Did you recollect
anything from that age? How many of you could recall? Please raise your hands.
Oh, so many hands, I can't count them all. That means, most of you sitting here
were virtually transferred to twelfth year of your age in the past. People in
their sixties and seventies and might be a few in their eighties and twenties
be here. This is worth considering, how does a man in his thirties can get back
to his twelfth year in a few seconds? Secondly, if we subtract 12 from 30,
answer will be 18. How did 18 years ago events could be recalled instantly?
Thirdly, can we get back to our past? When we can go back by eighteen years, we
can also go back by fifty or by two hundred years. Likewise remained sitting
here we can go anywhere. I remaining in Karchi had virtually been in India. Some
of my brethren and sisters had been in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and, few
might have reached America or to Russia. Didn't it happen? Tell me. Yes, or no?
Audience...Yes
it happened.
Why did it
happen, someone tell me? To travel eighteen years back into past, how much time
is required? And, here you close your eyes and there you are in your twelfth
year, say eighteen years ago. You also recalled that place where you were by
then. Not only that but you also recollected the playful moments of your
childhood. If you are asked what did you see, everyone would tell you a
different thing. Some will be telling you about seeing them in school and some
will tell you of his naughtiness, some might have remembered his mother's
snubbing or father's scolding. But the fact is that you travelled eighteen
years back in a fraction of a second and, if someone is in his fifties, he
travelled back 38 years. This proves one thing that everyone has this ability to
travel back into time. Had this ability not been there, you couldn't have
reached your twelfth year of age. Yes, or no? Can anybody tell me what did I
tell, what I submitted to you?
One of the
audience...standing... You said, "If a man had not this ability he could
not have gone to his past nor could he crossed twelve, fifteen or eighteen
years."
So you got
what I said. I asked this so that it be testified that I am not talking absurd
and I am talking something sensible which is comprehensible, too.
Let me ask
you one thing more. What is your age now, since you are born? If you are thirty
years of age, what all those thirty years will be called? Yes? It is the past.
We will call it past. It means you were born in the past. You were born, say
thirty year ago. This period of the past thirty years is your life, your senses,
your emotions and feelings and all your hot and cold, hard and soft sentiments.
Whatever you did in these thirty years, where did it go? All that has become a
record. Everything said and done has been recorded. Had that record not been
there, we couldn't have been able to recollect it by going back to twelfth
year.
Isn't that
so? We were born in the past. These thirty years are also past. We were of one
day then we became of one year. Then we became of five years and, then we were
young. What this childhood and youth is? When we grew old, what this youth will
be called? Then, after growing old we passed away. What this entire period of
time, since our birth till our demise, will be termed? What will you call it?
Say loudly...
Audience... Past
Then, what the
present and future are? Be very careful and give it a good thought, what your
childhood is? Past! What is your youth? Past! And, what your old age is?
Audience... Past
What these present
and future are then? What is that we mention as present and future? Present and
future are fiction, only past is real. Present and future are changing. Past is
the record. What does all this mean? It simply means, man is nothing but past.
Past is the Time. Holy Prophet (PBUH) has stated; (Arabic text) "Don't say
bad about time, Allah is the time."
Now, let's
move back from our childhood. Where we were before we were born?
Audience...in
the realm of souls.
What this
realm of souls is? Present or future?
Audience...
Past!
What was
there before the realm of the souls?
Audience...
Allah was there!
Then, what
Allah is?
Allah is also
in the Past. We cannot term Allah as past, though he is in the Past. Allah is
the Time. Thus, our life, our childhood, our youth and, old age is nothing but
the Past. In order to understand the Past, reality has been clad into present
and future. Had the present and future not been there the past couldn't have
been divided into present and future. Age cannot be determined, if the past is
not divided, the months and years cannot be counted. The basis of months and
years is the past. And this hadith (Arabic text)
"Don't
say bad about time, Allah is the time."
You have
understood, you came from past into your childhood, youth and old age and,
vanished from here; from this world. Where did you go?
Audience...
Into the Unseen!
When you went
into the unseen, you became unseen. And, what does this going into the unseen
mean? It means, you became Unseen. Thus, two things have become clear. One,
everybody is past and, everyone is Unseen. Past is the realm of souls, is the
eternity. The world after death is also Unseen. Allah is also Eternity and that,
too, is Unseen. Thus, Allah is the Unseen, in the Past and after death, too, is
the Unseen. Then, what's the basis of man?
Audience...
the Unseen.
Ok. When your
real base is the unseen then, why can't man know and cognize the Unseen, which
is his actual base? Your base is the soul or the physical body? Soul is your
base. Soul is the Unseen or the manifested? Physical body is your
manifestation. But, under whose control are all the movements of your physical
body?
Audience...
The Soul!
Soul is the
unseen. Then where do you stand? Aren't you also unseen? And, when we are the
Unseen, why can't we see the unseen and the ultra-unseen? Hope it isn't a very
difficult topic. How many of you are
feeling it difficult to understand? Raise your hands if you feel it is difficult. Mashallah you all are more capable than
me.
So we were
talking about...man is the past and the past is the unseen. And, all that a man
is doing here is also becoming unseen. You drank water, water became unseen.
You had meal, the meal became unseen. You went to Nazimabad; you became unseen
from here. You are present in Nazimabad. Thus, man's base is the unseen and the
display of the unseen is the soul. If we are not willing to know of our basis,
our reality, it cannot be the fault of unseen.
Who doesn't
know that without the stimuli of the soul, the physical body cannot move. No
one can drink water without the stimuli of soul. No one can even think of a
thing without the stimuli of the soul. No woman can become mother without the
stimuli of the soul. No man becomes a father without the stimuli of soul. And,
without the stimuli of the soul no one can be a teacher, professor or lecturer.
For instance, a man is a lecturer, if his soul departs can he give lecture? If
the soul of a wrestler departs, can he fight when the soul is not there? A
person eats and drinks but if his soul departs he cannot eat or drink. A person
runs and wrestles, if his soul leaves him he cannot even move.
Thus, our
real base is the Unseen. The world of Unseen is the real world of us and the
same is our actual life. We are sitting here because of our life. It is said,
my hand is moving, I am talking, what if the soul in us departs, I won't be
able to move my hand, I cannot talk. What does it mean? The Soul has made this
body a flute. Have you seen a flute? How many sounds it emits when it is blown
in? If it is not blown in, can there be any sound? Likewise, if the soul is not
blowing breath in us, we cannot talk. Now, what does all this mean? Man eats
bread but, when he expires he cannot eat. So who ate the bread? Yes?
Audience...Soul!
Who drank
water?
Audience...The
soul!
The Soul is
eating bread, soul is drinking water. You studied and learnt dictionaries, and became
graduates but, have you ever given it a thought that I am not eating, it's my
soul that's eating, I am not drinking, my soul is drinking. I cannot be a
father, it's my soul. I cannot be a mother, it's my soul. I cannot be a
professor, it's my soul. I am not the laborer, it's the soul that is laboring.
If the soul does not make this body a medium and leaves it, there will be no
laborer, no employer, no businessman, no teacher nor any student. No mother, no
father. Yes, or no? Now tell me who eats the bread?
Audience...
The soul!
And, who
drinks water?
Audience...
The soul!
But you say, you
eat the bread. We all say that we eat. We wear clothes. Who wears the clothes?
No dead body has ever worn any clothes or has it? No they didn't.
According to
God's system, one hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets of God have come to
the world. Not this world only, there are billions of worlds. In all those
worlds billions of suns and moons are also there. God's creatures are existing everywhere.
This world of ours is not all. Qalandar Baba Auliya told me, our world; this
earth is the smallest of all the spheres. And gave me the example of a very big
doom, over that tomb, he said, dip a pin in the ink and mark a dot on that
doom. Our world is not bigger that that one dot in this universe. Just imagine
a huge doom and a tiny dot made by the pin. This means the bigger worlds are
also there. And there is only one system operating in every world.
(Arabic text)
(Surah Fatir: 43)
God says, the
system that I have devised is established one, it does not change nor it
suspends. Neither it stops nor it changes. Have you ever seen the sun changing
or rising late by two or four hours or changing its direction and rising from
the south instead of east?
(Arabic text)
(Surah Fatir: 43)
There is no
change in God's operation nor does it stop. It does not halt. Man is born and
passing away perpetually since the creation of the world. They are coming in
and going out. A goat is coming and going. This change; coming and going, is
continuing. There is no postponement in it.
Please
consider, a goat has ears and hears, and man also has ears and hears. A goat has
a nose and smells, man, too, smells. Goat has eyes and sees, man, too has eyes
and sees. A man has brain, memory and a goat, too, has them. This is another thing;
it is less or more. Even in humans, in some it is more or less. Goat has feet
and man also has them. Goat has arms, so does a man. Birds, too, have feet and
hands. Their claws are their feet and, their wings are their arms. All things
like hearing, seeing, touch, taste and movements are the same but still they
are different. Why are they different? Process of birth and nursing is the same
but still different.
(Arabic text)
(Surah Aala: 19)
Translation: "Glorify
the name of the Guardian Lord, Most High, who has created things in fixed
measures and given order and proportion, who has ordained laws and granted guidance."
What an amazing artifact, fashioning and the
work of nature. Hearing is the same, sources of hearing are the same but the
shape of ears is different. Hands are different. Shape of everything is
different. Hunger is the same, thirst is the same and urges are the same. Man
gets angry, a goat, too, gets enraged. Man loves his children, a goat, too
loves her lambs. God has devised a system that depends upon the soul. A man
dies after his soul departs, a cat, too, dies when its soul leaves it. Just as
a man cannot eat, move around after the soul departs a cat also cannot move
around nor can eat.
This proves
that the system, in all the worlds, depends upon the soul. This entire system is
the spiritual system, it is not a physical one only. Physical system is changing
and, the soul is unchanging because the reality is unchanging. Unreal things
are changing. Wherever there is change, it is unreal. And, where there is no
change that's real.
Man's birth
in this world is a perpetual change. Every day, in and out, every second, every
year is a change but, in the soul, there is no change. It's the most
unfortunate of people that they have taken the change as reality and, are
adamant to prove that change is the reality. And, consider this physical body
is everything. It is our body that eats and drinks. How strange is that
everyone of us sees his father and grandfather passing away. And, he knows well
that this life is temporary and, is changing but still considers it everything.
He considers this body is real and to provide comfort to this body, he builds the
house, does business, amasses wealth and for that cheats and adulterates, sells
his nation and himself. When man comes to know of the reality and that all his
physical system; be his body, his house, business or property, is temporary and,
is to be left behind. When this thing becomes his belief, he will eat well and live
well. God will provide him quality sustenance but he will not consider this
temporary world as real. This is what one hundred and twenty four thousands prophets
of God preached that this world is like an inn, an examination hall, is the
place to plough in. What will you harvest, when you will sow the keekar (i.e. Acacia)tree? Obviously, you
will have keekar, it won't bear
mangoes. When you will sow the mango tree you will have mangoes, it will not
have the thrones of keekar.
If you will be
enamored by the temporary and perishable things that do not last, will not be
faithful to you and your life will become a picture of faithlessness. Your life
will become unreal because you didn't pay attention to reality. You didn't try
to explore what your reality is? Mashallah
so many of you sitting here, you tell me, is your body is real or changing,
breakable, rot-able and a pile of stink? If a dead body is left for two days,
what will happen to that body? It will stink and stench and will smell all
around. It is not something you don't know of it. You do see cats and dogs
lying dead and stinking.
After the
prophets of God, their companions spread their teachings. After them, Auliya
Allah disseminated their teachings. All these teachings, in a nutshell, are
that man has come here, in this world, to take an exam and exams cannot be
passed without proper preparations. If you will focus on fiction and changing
things and take the exam , the result will also be fiction and, you will not
get anything out of them.
(Arabic text)
(Surah Zilzal: 7, 8)
God says, all
that ye do here is recorded and, each and every trace of it is saved. If you
did a good, equal to a speck that is also saved as a record and if you did
wrong like a speck, that is also saved as a record. And, the same record is your
life after leaving this world. If there is good in that record, life in the
hereafter will all be good for you but if it is evil in your life here, your
entire life, in the hereafter, will also be evil.
You have come
from the Unseen and have to return to the Unseen. This coming from the unseen
and returning to unseen is the proof that this life is just a passing phase of
life in which there is no stay, no permanent stay.
Holy Prophet
(PBUH) has said, (Arabic Text) "This world is the farm for
hereafter." Whatever you will sow here you will reap in the hereafter. So
I was talking about the past. You came from the past; the realm of the souls
and when you left this world you actually are gone to the past. For instance,
my father; may God bless him, passed away. Then, my mother passed away from
this world. They both became past for me. Thus, all the struggling and efforts
of your life and, all the affairs, your living, dying, eating and drinking,
wedding and bearing children, building of house and its keeping, all these
things are temporary or permanent?
Audience...
Temporary!
And, the
world where you will go after leaving this world, is that temporary or
permanent?
Audience... That's
permanent!
Once,
Qalandar Baba Auliya told me. A traveler passing by a city, saw a hermit on the
way, where is the habitat? He asked him. Over there, the hermit pointed in a
direction. Following his direction, the traveler reached a graveyard. He felt
bad and, returned to the hermit and, scolded him for misleading him. The hermit
said, I didn't mislead you, you asked me about the habitat. Habitat is the
place where people go and reside. I am sitting here for so many years, I never
saw anyone returning from there. Whosoever goes there, never returns and resides
there. So that is the real abode and habitat.
Thus, the
real abode and habitat for us is the life of the hereafter. God produced resources
of all kinds for our consumption, eating and drinking. Has God created them not
to use them? God wants His men to use His blessings and, be grateful to Him and,
they should also realize that all these things are temporary. Permanent are
those blessings that will be there for them in the hereafter. It is the tragedy
of the present era that we are unmindful of the hereafter rather have become
oblivious of it.
For example,
when you have to go to London, you do arrange funds for the trip. But, where we
have to go after death, we don't know, how long we have to stay; a million
years or only tens of thousands, we have made no arrangement for that and, that
will cause problems for us. According to Allah's system, we are duty- bound to get
back to our past. When you will get back to your past, you will remember the
blessings of God. You will become mindful of your stay in the womb of your
mother for nine months. You remember mother's nursing you for two and a quarter
year and, you will remember your parent's love and their taking pains in
educating you. When you will remember all this you will be grateful to them and
to God.
If God had
not created your parents where would you have been? If God had not created
resources, how could have we survived? The gist of the teachings of all the
Auliya Allah and, all that I have studied is; man is required to remember his
past. The more you will remember your past the more will you stay at peace and
in comfort. The more you will tend to forget your past, the more uneasy and
worried will be your life.
I am feeling
exhausted, I just had the medicine for blood pressure.
Briefly, I
will submit to you, act upon the program of self-accountability. At night,
before going to bed, recall all the blessings of God, which He has blessed upon
you since your birth. Think of your eyes. If a man wakes up in the morning and,
finds his eyesight gone, everything will become useless for him. Think of the
ears, if a man becomes deaf, what will happen? If one's hands or feet stop
functioning, what can one do? If the brain stops performing, what can one do? He
will be handicapped, won't be able to do any job. When you will count your
blessings, you will be linked up with your past. And, when your link with your
past will be established, you will get connected with the realm of the souls.
After that you will become in touch with the Day of Eternity, when God had
asked you, "Am I not your Lord, after presenting Him before the souls of the
creatures. What does it mean, "Am I not your Lord?" It means God
presented Himself before the creatures. Souls witnessed their Lord and when
they witnessed Him, they acknowledged His Lordship saying, " Indeed Thou
are our Lord."
When you will advance towards the
past and finally reach Eternity, you will know, what happened there. What did
God say? I am your Lord. And, what did we say? We said, yes, indeed and we
acknowledge Thy Lordship. Did the souls acknowledge Allah's Lordship without
seeing Him? Souls were deaf and dumb, had no hearing nor any sight. Just in a
state of bewilderment and lost-fullness. Just had the sense of their being that
"I am." What I am? Had no sense of that.
There was no voice, no eyes, no mouth nor was
any mind there...It was just a deaf and dumb silhouette. God presented Himself
before this silhouette and asked, "Am I not your Lord?" That is, the
deaf and dumb souls heard the voice of Allah. When they heard the voice of
Allah, their hearing became activated and, they realized that they can hear and
they became attentive. It's but obvious, if you call out Doctor sahib! Only the
one who is a doctor will become attentive and would look for the caller. When
the souls heard the voice of Allah their hearing became active. When souls
after hearing the voice of Allah become attentive their sight became active and,
the sight witnessed Allah. And the power of articulation also got activated and
the souls said, "Indeed, Thou are our Lord!" When the souls spoke
after witnessing their Lord, they came to know that they are creatures and He
is their Creator. When the souls realized that they are the creatures, they
spontaneously acknowledged His Lordship saying, "Indeed Thou are our
Lord."
Now you tell
me, with whose hearing we hear? Of whose sight, we see, of whose mind, we
acknowledge Allah? Allah says in the holy Quran, "You hear by the hearing
that I have blessed you with, you see by the sight granted by Me and, you speak
by the articulation given by Me." It means you see by the sight given to
you by Allah, hear because of the hearing power given to you by Allah and,
speak because of the power of speech given to you by Allah. You have witnessed
Allah. After witnessing Him, have acknowledged His Lordship and say, no one can
see Allah. What does this mean? Yes, you may say, this material or physical eye
cannot behold Allah. And, this Allah has clearly stated, (Arabic text) (Surah
Inam: 103)
Allah is too
subtle for the material eyes to behold Him. Material eyes cannot see Allah but
the sight that has seen Allah in Eternity can see Him. That hearing can hear
Him, which has heard Him in Eternity and that mouth can acknowledge His
Lordship, which has acknowledged His Lordship after beholding him.
Now, you must
have understood that this material body is nothing. When a person dies, his
eyes or ears do not perish, his lips don't get stuck nor do they dissolve. His
brain also remains there. Then, why can't he hear despite having the ears? Why
can't he see in spite of having eyes? Why can't he talk when the lips and
tongue are intact? Why can't he speak? Tell me!
Audience...
The Soul has left the body.
Soul has left
means, the ears stop hearing, eyes stop seeing and hand stop holding things.
Isn't it so? The soul has witnessed Allah and, it is the soul that witnesses
here. This means, soul is seeing here and, it was the soul that saw there.
Where is the problem? Problem is with the body. Body cannot hear, body cannot
see, body cannot speak and body cannot hold nor can it walk. All is done by the
soul and, it's the soul that has seen Allah in eternity, has heard the voice of
Allah and, has acknowledged Allah. See! How easy is the formula to get
acquainted with your soul! This is spirituality and, this is what the Sufism is.
And, not
knowing the soul is not Sufism, is not spirituality. Whatever I want you to
learn is and, I tried to make you understand is that, this body is nothing.
This all is because of soul. When you are alive, it is because of soul and when
you die, you remain under the soul. When this body has no importance then why
don't you search for that entity because of which you move around, eat and
drink and are alive? When the soul quits, man is no longer alive, he becomes a
dead body.
This is what
the prophets and Auliya Allah say; Cognize yourself, know your real self,
identify your soul. Realize that honor which God has blessed you with. The first target of your sight and the
ultimate destination of your sight is Allah. This first thing that sight beheld
was Allah, the first ever voice that was heard was that of Allah. The first
thing that our lips and tongue uttered was...Indeed, Thou are our Lord. You
have seen Allah, you have heard Him and you have acknowledged and endorsed His
Lordship. You accepted Him to be your Creator. You have also come to know of
the duality.
What does it
mean when the souls acknowledged the Lordship of Allah? Thou are our Lord,
Provider of sustenance, our Protector, You are the Creator and we are the
creatures. Souls have also acknowledged that they are creatures, not the
creator. When you are not the creator, you must not be haughty. When we are not
creators, we are not supposed to be arrogant. God says, you cannot tear the
earth by walking arrogantly. The earth will not tear under your arrogant feet.
And, if you are so strong, get back your food from the fly. God also says, He
is so great He does not feel shy in mentioning the flies and mosquitoes. So
many of you sitting here tell me, can you get the food back that a fly takes
away from you? When you cannot do that, how can you be bigheaded? Your neck
becomes stiff.
Remember one
thing, a living person is soft and can be molded. He can bend down and turn
aside. But, if a person is dead, his neck becomes stiff. Once, his hand gets
stiff, you cannot bend it. If someone is stiff and arrogant in his life, he is
dead and, one who is dead here, will remain dead in every realm. Dying is one
thing and passing away is another. There is a huge difference between the two.
Dying is to become lifeless but passing away means to transfer into another
realm. When one dies here, his body dies and, the soul passes away. Body does
not transfer. Nobody's body has ever transferred.
If you open
up a grave after the burial in a week, you find a body. After two years, you
may find a few bones in the grave. But, the soul transfers and that cannot be
seen. The Body perishes and turns into dust but, the soul remains, is seen in
dreams and is mentioned, too. A person who has passed away twenty years ago is
being mentioned even today. He was like this or that. He was my uncle, maternal
or paternal. Who is being mentioned? The body or the soul? Yes, soul is
mentioned and is referred to, not the body. Being arrogant, haughty or
stubborn, considering others inferior and yourself superior, being rigid in
family norms, killing others are the signs of one's death. If your body becomes
stiff after your death or you become rigid in your life, both are the same.
Man dies and
becomes dust but his soul transfers and remains forever. All the chiefs of all
the Silasils and all their members preach that don't be dead but pass away and
transfer to the next phase of life. If man and his life is analyzed, it can be
said that man keeps on transferring, and keeps on changing. He was in Eternity,
he come down into the realm of the souls. Then, got down to Burzakh and from there transferred into
this world of matter. From this world of matter, he transfers to Airaf, from there he goes to Nafakh e Soor and, goes into the Day of Judgment
and then, into yom ul meezan,
paradise or hell.
What thing is
going and transferring? Soul is transferring. It's the quality of the soul that
it remains obscure. It doesn't exhibit itself. Since it remains obscure, it
builds a medium, a dress or a body for itself. When the soul came here it created
a body from the elements of this realm; from stench, clay and rot. And, when
the soul will go from here, it will make a dress of lights for itself. In some
realms, it makes a body of lights and in some of Noor.
The Soul is
real, body is merely a depiction. We all present here and living in this world
are only depictions of the soul. Since
we are considering this depiction as real, we are in trouble, in misery and,
this is the reason of all our problems and restlessness.
According to
the holy statement of God, (Arabic text) (Surah Teen: 4)
"Indeed
We created man into best of proportions."
(Arabic text)
(Surah Teen: 5)
"Then,
he downgraded himself to the lowest of the low."
The life of 'the
lowest of the low' is the body and 'the best of proportion' is the soul.
May Allah be
pleased with you. You have come from faraway places in this cold weather. I
have great regard and I love you a lot. I appreciate your sincerity and
sacrifices and, I pray to God, in your presence or absence, may God bless you
with delights. My heartfelt feelings for the members of Silsila are that Allah
may bless them with every blessing and may grant us the strength to work for
the advancement of the mission of Qalandar Baba Auliya. May we be able to share
with others that inner peace and tranquility which God has blessed us with!
(Arabic text)
(Surah Airaf: 23)
(Arabic text)
(Surah Baqara: 201)
(Arabic text)
(Darood Shareef)
From me and
the management's behalf, thank you for coming. And, that you came here leaving
your cozy beds of your homes, I regret the inconvenience to you. Then, there
are mosquitoes for which, I apologize to you, on their behalf. May you prosper
and Allah bless you with happiness.
About the
Silsila things I request you to be punctual in your lessons and be regular in
Muraqba. And, all my brethren, must memorize the Rules and Regulations of
Silsila by heart and try to act upon them. And, spread the teaching of Silsila
using that spiritual identity with which God has blessed you. Excite people,
explain things by giving examples, the way I tried to explain things to you. I
don't know whether you understood or not, the relationship of soul and body.
Once an elder
related a story to me. A preacher kept on describing the story of Zulaikha, the
whole night. In the morning one of the audiences got up and asked the preacher
to tell whether Zulaikha was a male or female. So is the case with me. Once
someone told me that Abba Jan's talks cause pressure upon their minds and they
fall asleep. But I keep on shaking you to remain up because I don't want my
children to sleep when I don't sleep.
May Allah be
pleased with you and bless you all with health and bless you with obedient
lucky children and may see them prosper. Children are the comfort of their
parents, you all are my children, my friends and my elders. I request you all
to pray for me that after my leaving this world I be successful and may Allah accede
to your prayers for me.
(Arabic text)
(Surah Ibrahim: 41)
Pray for your
elders, too. Elders do pray for their children but the children should also
pray for their elders. All that you can do to please me, is to spread the
message of Silsila as much as you could. When I had started this Silsila, there
was only one thing in my mind that I have to strive with so much passion that
the name of Qalandar Baba Auliya be known in the world and the heavens.
Alhamdulillah God has blessed me with success.
I had no
recognition of the tree. First of all tree is to be bought, land is prepared
for it and after mixing manure, it is planted. Then, it is watered. How can a single man do all this? So, it occurred
to me that I should scatter the seeds wherever I found the land. If there will
be potential in the land, it will grow the seeds into plants. Then, you can
separate them and remove the weeds and, there will be plants all over, as a result
of your sincerity.
And, when
there will be one plant, how many fruits it will have and then, each fruit will
bear how many seeds in it. So, your job is to plant trees. It's the duty of
nature to grow fruits on them. You fulfill your part of the job; rest is up to
the nature to provide resources or not. So when you plant a seed with
sincerity, and sacrifice and there is no worldly interest involved, there is the
mission of a Qalandar behind it, who is acceptable to God. How can angels dare
to disobey him. How can earth deny his orders? About such a person God says,
"I become his ears, his eyes, his hands. How can the resources deny him?
This thing is manifested before you.
There was a
time when, we were only two people. We started performing Muraqba by two of us.
The time that was suggested by our Mentor that since 4 am till that time, we
used to follow that. Then, see how God blessed us with passion and consistency,
sincerity and the patronage of our Mentor.
There are
hundreds of Silasil and each one of them is respected by us and they are our
ancestors and, we are a continuation of them. Today you can see the Silsila
Azeemiya is outstanding amongst them within a few years because of our
humbleness, sincerity, our hardworking and our elder's prayers.
(Arabic text)(Surah
Ankabot: 69)
And, those
who strive and struggle for us, in us Feena...means
without asking for any reward...for Me...who struggle for Me...I made it compulsory
for Me to guide them... (Arabic Text)subulona...ways...not
one way... When they struggle and strive for Allah, ways are opened for them. Thousands
of ways are opened for them.
Qalandar Baba
Auliya use to say, One man in Silsila is one but two men of Silisila are eleven
and three people of Silsila are one hundred and eleven and, so on and so forth.
In a short
time your books have been included in the curriculum of schools. I had to work
hard for but let me give you the glad tiding by the grace of God and because of
your prayers, up to middle classes the books have been written and will be
published soon. These books will be taught in hundreds of schools in 7th and
8th classes.
It occurred
to me that there be the branches of Azeemiya Public School, Mashallah nine or ten schools have been
opened. The network of libraries is also before you. My books haven't reached
the colleges yet but have reached the universities. Many children have
completed their MPhil degrees about Silsila Azeemiya. And, Alhamdulillah your brother; Bhai Jan has also completed his PhD on
Silsila.
What this all
is? Have you ever considered, what this all is? It is the passion of a person,
love of a person for his mentor. There is no target in my life except that
mission of my mentor be achieved and fulfilled.
Let me tell
you something. It is quite strange though. After passing away of Qalandar Baba
Auliya I used to go to his mausoleum and remained sitting there. Obviously, I
was very upset because of his demise. In those days, I used to witness him,
just as I am looking at you. He used to tell me that despite his departure from
here, he was with me, I might touch him, feel him or embrace him. Anyway it was
a new experience for me. Then, my attention was turned toward Silsila. He
commanded me to love my wife and children for his sake because everything due
to his love, had been deleted from my mind. I was so crazy that my mentor had
to order me to love my wife and children. God is great. I am pleased to see
that the same passion is being reflected in my Azeemi children.
It is my
experience that, in spite of petty differences, they mix up when it comes to
the affairs of Silsila or something is to be done about their mentor, as if
there was no difference between them. But, as a father, as a teacher, as a
mentor, I do wish that there be no difference amongst you. If you feel bad
about someone's something, don't gossip about it. Talk to him directly and ask
him. If he refutes the allegation, accept it open mindedly and, don't have hard
feelings for him. Say Ok.
The main
reason for the destruction of all the nations that are ruined is the
differences amongst them. These differences do not give you any monetary
benefits and, are only the wastage of energy.
This has been
clearly mentioned in the Rules and Regulations of the Silsila that Silsila
Azeemiya (Arabic Text) wants to gather the mankind on the platform of
monotheism. How can we unite the mankind on this, if we have differences
amongst us, have complains against each other and, have hypocrisy in us? We are
the representatives of Qalandar Baba Auliya and, he is (Arabic Text)Sadar ussador. We are the children of
the king of emperors. We are the kings and the kingmakers. It does not suit us
to get annoyed by petty things. We have to have the heart of a king. We have to
excuse the world, not to hate one another. We are the pillars of Silsila
Azeemiya. We are the bricks that will construct a lofty wall. If a single brick
is placed wrongly we will be accused of crooking the entire building. And, this
building is to last till the Doomsday, not a few years, decades or centuries.
If the pillars of the building will not be strong, it will be big a mistake and
very disastrous. It will be treachery with our coming generations. Since every
member of Silsila is representing Silsila, everyone of us is required to
correct himself then, correct your brother.
It has become
the custom of the world, everybody is trying to correct others, no one is
taking the trouble of correcting himself. When you will correct yourself, your
brother will automatically be corrected.
If a father
tells lies and asks his kids not to lie. How is it possible? If a father speaks
loudly and shouts and, asks his son to be soft-spoken, how is this possible?
What if the child retorts and tells him of his shouting? He will be shouting
all the more. How can the child be a soft-spoken?
We Azeemies;
the individuals of the Silsila at present, are the foundation bricks, cement
and the iron bars of the Silsila. Nothing of the building material should be
sub-standard. If anything will be of low standard, the building will be weak.
Qalandar Baba
Auliya got this Silsila approved by the holy Prophet (PBUH). We are the links
of this chain. There mustn't be any mixing, hypocrisy or lying and, no wealth
worshipping in us. Earning wealth is not bad but worshipping wealth is wrong. If
the Rules and Regulations of Silsila are acted upon and enacted in your lives, In sha Allah it will spread beyond your
imagination provided that we must remember them by heart and act upon them. May
Allah grant us the strength to enact them.
It's late in
the night and, you must be tired, too.
Insha Allah we will meet again. May God protect you. Give my regards to
your friends and convey my prayers to them and do give my love to your
children. It will not be a bad idea to take sweets with you and, give them on
my behalf saying, these are for you from Abba ji.
Assalam o Alykum.
